I’m 5 running hours in and really liking this generator. The digital sensor panel is great and the inverter really delivers on reduced overall weight and noise. My only complaint is the lack of clear instructions in the manual on using a very level surface to avoid tripping the low oil sensor. I was in an area close to level the first time i used it and almost gave up after a support call and hour of troubleshooting. They eventually sent an email suggesting a level surface.

My husband and I just bought a 30-foot travel trailer for spending time on our land in Central Texas. The iGen4500 was the perfect complement to power the air conditioner and appliances while charging the battery. It starts reliably, has a nice array of electrical outlets, gives good operational information on the control display AND is so quiet. The remote start allows starting the generator from inside the trailer for brewing a pot of coffee and heating up a pastry in the microwave without having to traipse outside in the early morning. We are extremely pleased.

I was looking for a back up power source for my rv. It was packaged well and all parts were in the box. Battery was dead, had to charge it, reason for 4 stars. Installed battery, filled with the supplied oil, and added fuel. Turned it on and it started up. Seems to sound good. Nice quiet inverter for it's size.

Every feature you could want: Long run time (21 hrs on econ. mode), same loudness to Honda of equal size, Pull start, Elect. start AND Remote start. Not heavy (for me) at 100lb witout the 3.6 gallon gas fuel tank. A beautuful color (blue), Two handles and a pull bar with wheels. Battery included with a bottel of 10w30 oil. Easy instructions, written in understandable English. Very infomative digital readout of engine/power performance.

Got the oil added and connector prepared as required to connect to my “off the grid” cabin. It started right up and powered everything as expected. Noise level seems the same as my older Honda ES3000i inverter which this unit is replacing. Remote start works flawlessly. After 8 hours of operation I am very pleased with this unit!

Took about 20mins to set up, charged the battery for another 20mins and it started right up. Unit had no damage and all the controls work as they should. I ran it for about 2hrs with varing light loads with no issues. Have a camping trip planned next weekend where I will put it to the test.

I am a 79-year-old widow who lives alone. The power goes off often in our area. I really needed this generator and I know I am going to be happy with it. I am petite, but I have no problems rolling it around. It is easy to start , and it is going to be easy for me to do routine maintenance. The hardest part was lifting the generator high enough so I could read the serial number ( on the bottom) that is required to do this review. LOL.

Please note! We got ours to run our 50 amp RV camper trailer when dry camping during deer season and are having issues with it revving up for no reason. We are still trying to figure out this issue but when speaking with Westinghouse customer service we were told this inverter may be too small for our camper - even though we are only running 30 amps, not the full 50. I do like the remote start and quiet running of the machine.

We bougth this in June to use while camping . I was amazed at the amount of power this could put out and the quietness of this machine. I was very concerened about the noise level of a regular generator but this was perfect for us. Enough power for our camper with out the distraction of loud noise.

I have owned this generator for just over a month now, while not a lot of use yet time wise, I have been putting it through it's paces over the last 4 weekends, and its been flawless! The generator will be used to power my cottage that is off the grid, so it will be used on a weekly basis. This generator will be replacing my old unit of 8 years that still runs great, but I was seeking something with remote start, quieter operation, and better fuel economy. And so far the iGen4500 has exceeded my expectations. Whisper quiet, 18 + hours on a tank of fuel running in eco mode, and my favorite option, remote start which I love! No more having to run to the generator shed to start the generator at lunch time, or going back out at night to shut it off at the end of the day. The remote works flawless at about 100' from inside my cottage, to inside my generator shed where it sits. This a high end generator, with great fit and finish, and is on par with some of the higher end generators on the market.
