Just bought this a few days ago from a big box home store. I’m giving it 4 stars based on initial inspection and only a few hours of use. If it continues to run like it has been, in six months I’ll upgrade my rating to 5 stars. Unboxing was uneventful, units fit and finish were good, plenty of useful data placarded on the exterior to help guide you through simple procedures. Unit came with 600 ml bottle of oil and a very handy funnel to add or change engine oil. I added the entire contents of the bottle, filled the gas tank and connected the starting battery. Two pushes of the start button had the genny idling smoothly. After an hour of running with a very light load I connected the genny to my rv and ran the air conditioner, a 15k AC. The generator had no problems changing to the higher load and didn’t miss a beat. I checked the remote fob and it operated correctly. At this point the only question I have is that the manual identifies four different displays on the data center but on my generator the data center has five possible displays. I’m assuming the fifth display is total run time. If not I’ve already ordered a digital hour meter that will count run time. If this generator continues to start, run and meet my electrical load demands then I’ll consider this money well spent.

We have been very happy with our generator! ! We did have an issue with the carburetor right out of the box & had to take it in for service. Our service guy told us this is a common issue with most generators as they test them in the factory & often fuel is left in the carburetor & gunks up during shipping/storing. He recommended using only non-ethanol fuel which we have found out (the hard way) that this does seem to be the best way to keep from having issues. It runs quietly (for a generator) & powers our 16" camper perfectly!

Bought this genny to run my camper. It was a vacation saver. Thru several days of over 95 degrees, the genny performed flawlessly keeping our camper cool for when we needed a break from the heat without guzzling jug after jug of gas. Though not as quiet as a 2000 watt genny, it did not cause any disturbance. Great product.

I just unpack this igen4500. it was missing the battery cover. I email for a replacement. we will see. I have a honda eu3000 and needed more power, the honda is a little quieter, but much heavier and twice the cost. and its hard to compare to a honda as for reliability considering I have not used it yet. i love the remote start and the auto choke.

This is our second iGen4500. We sold the first one with our camper and immediately bought another for our next camper. It is quiet. Love the remote start. The new model has some great features. Tells you how much time you have before you run out of gas. Can't wait to try it out! Priced right too.

Just bought & after adding gas, oil I got it to work on first try. After an hour I tried again and it would not start. After many tries I finally decided to plug in the battery recharge cord and left it over night. Low & behold.... next morning it started up just great. Still need to try it on my travel trailer to see if it will run the AC and it the plug will allow me to plug in the trailer (had read problems w/this). So its a 4 star rateing until I do the live test this weekend.

Bought this generator to replace one that had become unreliable (different brand) We use it to power our BBQ trailer. I came as described and after going through the check list and putting the oil and fuel in it, it fire right off after just 3 pulls. Put it on the supplied charger and tried the remote start the next day. Started right up and very quiet even when not in eco mode. Almost as quiet as my Honda 7000 that I use for my travel trailer. Will give is a good run at the next cook off and re-edit this review after afterwards

I just received my new iGen4500. It looks like a well put together piece of machinery. They have included the oil, funnel,spark plug tool, and a understandable instruction book. I have not yet had the chance to use it. I never thought I would be looking forward to the next storm that takes out our electric power. I'm sure that this Westinghouse iGen4500 will more then meet my expectations. Thank you Westinghouse.

This unit arrived last week. The instructions were helpful, but the online reviews that I read before ordering were even better. Like, do NOT put the entire bottle of oil in the unit as it will have a bit in it already. Started right up and ran good. The hardest part of everything was finding the serial number because the decal was low enough that it couldn't be seen until picking up the unit. Very quite, smooth running and I hope I don't need it for hurricane season, but if I do, I believe I can count on it to be a great help.

I decided I need an updated generator and after spending time looking through the myriad options locally and online, I landed on this one and I'm glad I did! Easy instructions to follow and with a simple push of a button, my new generator was cranking up with no effort! I love that this thing is not deafening and I won't have to worry about neighbors thinking it's too loud when operating. It's easy to move around with the built in wheels with pull handle built in. I have already used it in a few mobile situations and everyone loved it and I'll be in a much stronger position during longer than normal power outages in the future from hurricanes.
