Bought this after a recent hurricane extended power outages to be ready for the next one. Quiet, compact, portable, decent output and simple to operate. Only one minor issue on initial set-up.The engine cover had one screw installed so tight from the factory I stripped the head trying to remove it. Had to drill it out to remove and install a new nut insert and bolt.

Purchased this a few months ago and used for the first time a few weeks ago on a week long camping trip. Was impressed with how quiet it actually runs and fuel consumption was very efficient. Had some trouble with the key fob and push start every time after refueling but not a total deal breaker for I just used the pull start. Overall a worthwhile purchase!

The generator came in great condition and a day earlier than scheduled. I thought the remote was missing but it was clipped to the pull start cord. I followed the directions for the initial test run and it fired right up. Easy set up. It was actually quieter than I was expecting for being a 4500. I let the generator run for the break in period and it never wavered. This will be a nice upgrade from our “loud” generator when we go camping and for my music entertainment business when in remote locations. Highly recommend.

Received by FedEx when promised, great condition. Went over instruction sheet. Added oil, fuel and hooked up the battery. Pushed the start button and started right up. This is a quality piece of equipment. Well made, easy to use, plenty of power and the noise level is fantastic. What more could you ask for.

Love how quite the gen set is and how easy to setup, added fuel and oil when I received the unit and it fired right up, would have given 5 stars but only gave 4 because a card come with the generator that said they would give a free generator cover if I left a review but the web address, they give you to go to does not work. So no free cover

I just picked up the unit yesterday and inspected the box and the unit at the store for any damage. Once home I meticulously followed the setup / start up instruction. After filling with gas, it started after one or two revolutions of the engine. That was pretty amazing. Today I will do a break in run with a small load on and off for an hour or so and then change the oil to synthetic. With luck it will be a good unit replacing two Smaller competitors units that I could never get to reliably parallel. This unit is heavy, but will be a lot less hassle when it comes down to running AC, Microwave, Coffee Pot, etc in the RV and have a run time that will go through the night without refueling.

In preparing for a trip to northern California with it's possible rolling blackouts I spent many hours searching for a generator for our 32 foot fifth wheel. I came across reviews for the Westinghouse Igen4500. It had high reviews and was rated very quiet and was fairly light. I really wanted the duel fuel but it was out of stock so I ordered the gasoline model when it became available. I unboxed it yesterday. the battery was not secured and had knocked the door off the generator. the battery was still fine. I secured the battery with the strap, hooked up the cables, and reattached the access door. After adding the oil I flipped the battery switch on and hit the starter button, Within a second it was quietly purring. I plugged in my RV and turned on the AC. It kicked on with no hesitation. I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to our first outing with power on the go.

I was on the fence about buying the iGen4500 after reading the reviews. So glad I went ahead with my purchase! This thing runs and sounds so smooth, its exactly what I wanted and would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying a high power but really quiet power source. Ps starts first try every time. Good looking generator. Just purchased currently running for break-in now. Easy first time start up. Put oil in added gas hooked up battery hit the switch and fired right up after gas got to carburetor. Remote start work good also. Will update review later if opinion changes.

I BOUGHT IT FOR MY TRAVEL TRAILER. I LIKE THE REMOTE START, THE WHEELS AND HANDEL. IT RUNS 12,500 A/C & MICROWAVE AT THE SAME TIME. IT IS QUIET & I LIKE THE 30 A PLUG. THE AUTO CHOKE DOES NOT WORK! TO START IT YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE SIDE PANEL & WITH A SCREW DRIVER CLOSE THE CHOKE.
