This is my third Westinghouse iGen generator and the best one yet. We have a 2200 and 2000 that we have to parallel so we purchased this 5000 with the remote start and dual fuel because we are getting older and plan to do a lot of traveling and having to parallel the two smaller ones each time we stop is a pain. The added bonuses are the remote start and ability to use propane. Received it today, put in the oil and hooked up the propane and it started immediately. We are now going through the 5 hour break-in and will change the oil over to synthetic then we will be good to go for several more years. You cannot beat their quality and dependability and why we chose to stick with Westinghouse.

Just bought the generator. when unboxing at home, the battery cover was not in place and loose in the package. the battery hold down rubber was broken into two peices and the battery was half way out of the generator when i removed the generator from the plastic. currently contacting westinghouse to see about getting a battery hold down. Passed that, this generator is quiet, easy to start both on pull start and electric start. love the remote feature. family memeber has the same generator and it has 500 plus hours on it with no issues.

Bought this 4000 W generator as we replacement for My HF 3500 W generator that didn't start. Pros. Like the fact that it came pre-wired with remote start and an onboard storage compartment for that remote. It came with a power supply that you plug into a wall to trickle charge the battery when not use. The weight and overall size of the Generator is about half of my previous generator. Con's. Wouldn't power my RV AC like the HF Predator 3509 would. I ended up talking to tech-support and they said I would need a soft start kit. Did some online research and decided to go with a capacitor instead of a starter kit. Once I have that installed, it would run my AC out about 50% load. So I gained experience points through that process, But I kinda wish I didn't have to go through it. Only holds 1.6 gallons of gas. A little on the small side of my opinion, but we'll see how that works out. On the side of that, it divides the gas into a 5 gallon gas can keep the generator down. I think I'll be happy with it, it may just take a minute.

Was delivered in a timely manner. Perfect condition. Runs fantastic and so easy to set up and go right away. Runs all my appliances and A/C in our fifth wheel camper with ease. Great Westinghouse product as always!

I love this generator. It's my 2nd one and I use one at my hunting shack the other stays home for power outages and for an extended outages I can tether them for twice the wattage. The price was excellent!

It works fantastic when it works. I've had for less than two years and what seems to be the inverter has already gone bad. It is super quiet and lighter weight than most. Very nice machine, again, when it is working.

We bought this generator to use with our horse trailer with living quarters. It's light, easy to transport, quiet and runs the trailer effortlessly. The AC on the trailer is louder than the inverter. We're definitely happy with our purchase so far!

Overall a great portable generator for our RV. I love that it fits in the back of my truck under the tonneau cover. Also love the dual fuel option and remote start. Fired right up out of the box. Was impressed to see I could run my RV air conditioner and peaked out at 50% power on propane. The oil was a little tricky to access/fill, but the provided screw in tube was helpful … will have to investigate how to change when the time comes! Really wish the LP regulator had an option for a quick connect into my RV lines so I don't have to carry an extra tank. Looking forward to first real use.

Severe storms rolled through the area and lost power for 25 minutes. Neighbors were out for up to two weeks so decided to invest in inverter generator to keep furnace on in winter and fridge and freezer working in summer. Works great, started right up and provided flicker free stable power.

After many months of research and online comparisons we decided on the iGen5000DF. I bought this a few months ago and just got it out of the box today to get it ready for camping. Set up was easy, connected to propane and it started right up with the remote. Runs very quiet. Looks like we are ready for off the grid camping during the heat of the summer and be able to run the air conditioner. This is our 1st Westinghouse Inverter
