Received this as “open box” item. Oil was missing, but other than that everything was in great shape. Added oil (slowly), hooked up the battery, connected the propane, pressed the button, and bingo! Away she goes! Quiet as promised, a little larger (and heavier) than I thought it would be, but looks like it's gonna be a nice add to our trailer camping adventures.

Please note! We got ours to run our 50 amp RV camper trailer when dry camping during deer season and are having issues with it revving up for no reason. We are still trying to figure out this issue but when speaking with Westinghouse customer service we were told this inverter may be too small for our camper - even though we are only running 30 amps, not the full 50. I do like the remote start and quiet running of the machine.

I bought the i4500 for using with a travel trailer. I really like the remote start. I can start the invertor in the mornings to brew my coffee without going outside and yanking on a pull rope. I am getting older and convenience is important. The front panel with the electronic readout is a major plus.

We bought this to go camping with for our RV. We used it to recharge the battery, run the a/c on high, outdoor fridge and a few misc. plugged in items. It definitely didn't let us down. It did all that and I am pretty sure it can take more! It is very quiet compared to some models and regular generators.

Went online to read other customers feedback before purchasing. Have only taken covers off to explore. The battery tiedown strap was not fastened. An elbow added to the oil plug would allow the oil to drain through the cabinet port without getting oil on the machine. Would be a simple and low cost fix for the oil drain issues and the mess the current system leaves.

I bought this generator as off grid power for my travel trailer, after seeing how well one performed on my son's 1' sailing catamaran. We both have put these generators through some tough conditions and harsh environments. We also service and maintain our equipment well. But these things are just plain tough. One of the best purchases either of us has made. I would highly recommend the iGen4500 to anyone who needs tough, reliable portable power.

I got this generator in January but haven't used yet as it is winter and not camp season. It's now April so I am getting ready for use. I filled with oil, fuel, and connected the battery. Unit fired right up both with push start on the unit and with the remote. I let run for 30 minutes to start the breakin period. The unit was quiet especially for the size. I didn't test with a meter but it's possibly a little quieter than my Generac 2200 watt inverter. Gave 4 star as I haven't used at all to be able to give a five star rating. Also it's nice to have the extendable handle but it feels flimsy like the handle on travel luggage. This unit is heavy so will just have to see how it holds up. Not concerned that handle will affect my like for the generator as the wheels seem big and sturdy.

When I unboxed and setup the Gen it wouldn't start. I researched and found that it was a common problem with this Gen. One of the cables was NOT plugged in. Westinghouse needs to do better QUALITY CONTROL. They have an Excellent Product but the People Assembling it are lacking.

I bought this to power my fifth wheel trailer. Very please with the ease of use and start up. from the inside of the fifth wheel trailer I can barely hear the generator running it's so quiet. I shopped around the other brands and they could not compete to the all-around ease-of-use, quiet, starting options, price point and reliability.

I am a liveaboard on my sailboat, in the Keys for almost a decade now. Having a running and efficient quiet generator is primordial in complement to wind generator and solar panels. Did I tell you, I am a woman? Now you know, and this fabulous iGen4500 with electrical starter and fobe is the nec plus ultra! Eating chocolate ice cream while working on a laptop, is easy breezy. Westinghouse has definitely some wind in its sails.
