Bought this generator as a back up for my RV in case of power outages. Very pleased with its performance and durability. Easy to maintain and use, love the remote control and the hand rail to tote the generator much easier. Read many reviews and watched videos before purchasing. Westinghouse has a parallel kit available for these model gens so that you can connect two for added power for added amp hours.

We have been researching portable generators for years for various reasons. When my wife found this one it looked like it has all the features we need. - Attractive compact package - Inverter - easy to transport and move - quiet - plenty of power for our purposes - Seems well built - electric (and remote) start - we're in our 80s

I set up engine and started motor. Motor did not come up to speed. Smoked a lot. I have seen many reviews about issues with the choke, so I pulled the side panel off and checked operation of the choke. It was stuck closed.. I manually opened it and the generator ran just like it should. i ran it for about 4 hours with about 1500 watt load and all went well. I downloaded the Service Bulletin on the choke cable issue. I followed the instructions, pulled the front panel and reconnected the dangling connector. Put everything back together and watched the choke operate as the motor was starting and all was good. I am going to use this for power outages and I have every belief that it will perform as advertised when the time comes.

I was on the fence about buying the iGen4500 after reading the reviews. So glad I went ahead with my purchase! This thing runs and sounds so smooth, its exactly what I wanted and would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying a high power but really quiet power source. Ps starts first try every time. This generator is great. I 1st used it after aftereffects from hurricane Debby knocked out my power. It was easy to set up and easy to use straight out the box. I love the handle which makes it easy to use. I operated a large deep freezer, a fan and my internet modem for several days.

Bought this in early June just finished the break in period. We bought this to provide power to our travel trailer which has a 15000 Btu AC. So far it has run flawlessly and does not struggle to start the AC on the trailer and when running uses just less than 50% of its capacity. The biggest advantages to us are the weight and the electric start with remote, and at 75 I can lift it into the truck bed.

Love love love this generator. It runs my horse trailer with no problems. The best part is being able to lay in bed and turn it on and off. I stay warm and toasty while my friends have to get dressed and face the cold before their first cup of coffee. It is very economical on gas too. I can lift it alone and the wheels are a huge advantage too. It is perfect in every way. I camped for 10 days without any issues, while I had 2 friends with generators that had issues. I recommend it highly!

Generator arrived today. Followed all instructions to set up. Would not start, but I was fortunate to have read about manual choke issues. Once that was fixed it started right up. Ran it for 45 minutes with no problems. Con: Advertised as running decibel of 54. 74 was the lowest decibel I recorded. Main reason for purchase was decibel rating. Disappointed Will follow up with review once I have had some time with it.

Took generator out on its first trip last weekend to Coral Pink Sand Dunes. It was extremely windy & sand was everywhere: on the ground, in the air, in my camper, etc. The generator did well for being constantly bashed with sand. Love the start button, so nice. I know the manual informed me about the high altitude kit, but I had fouled a plug before seeing it haha. The manual also warns to not overfill the gen w/ oil, but it didn't warn me that the kit gave too much oil...so I overfilled it...oops. Anyways, love the convenient features: start button, quiet, wheels. Cons: big & heavy, but I'm barley able to lift it into my truck bed. The suitcase style handle & wheels help handle the weight.

I have been pondering buying a new generator for a year now and so glad I finally did. Opened the package and filled with gas and oil and this generator started on the 5th pull. The remote start feature is the best thing. So far no hiccups with about 2hrs on it. Will review in a month or two with more.
