I'm leaving this review for a free generator cover. It's honest, but I am incentivized. I bought this generator for my travel trailer to power the AC after we were expecting higher than normal temperatures and I had to work. I have a large solar system with a lithium battery but running the AC all day requires more power. I bought this because it was available in Rapid City SD to be shipped to a local retailer. I ordered the iGen4000 but the store shipped the 5000. This generator was able to run my AC while staying below the 50% threshold for the first five hours. I changed the oil at that point and then I was able to run my entire trailer without issue on this. I would switch AC loads from my inverter to the generator and then also charge the battery. The generator is relatively quiet. I hate generators in campgrounds but it was necessary. It has ample capacity to run a 30 amp trailer. Adding and changing the oil is simple. It comes with a screw in funnel and I was lazy and just dumped it back out the same as it went in to change it. The remote start is fine but it requires you leave everything connected and you shouldn't start with a load or shut it down with loads. The battery was dead when I got it and needed to charge. The second time I ran it the electric start worked well. The generator is over 100 pounds though so it is hard to move and get in and out of the truck. I bought the 4000 which is 67 pounds so this is a major drawback. I need the high altitude kit and most manufacturers offer it for free but I haven't found a way to get it from Westinghouse for free. I submitted a request for this via support so we'll see what happens.

PURCHASED THIS LAST YEAR, HOWEVER, DUE TO LOCKDOWNS CAMPING WAS PUT OFF UNTIL THIS YEAR. OPENED THE BOX THIS YEAR FILLED WITH OIL AND GAS... FIRST PULL AND IT STARTED. AFTER LETTING IT RUN FOR AN HOUR WITH NO LOAD, I POWERED IT UP AGAIN AND PLUGGED IN OUR 30/50 AMP CAMPER/TRAILER. NOW FOR THE TEST. I TURNED ON THE MAIN AIR CONDITIONER AND YOU COULD HEAR THE GENERATOR NOW UNDER A LOAD. THEN TURNED ON THE REFRIGERATOR.THE GENERATOR POWERED BOTH ESSENTIALS WITH NO PROBLEM. ACCORDING TO THE GAUGE ON THE IGEN4500 IT WAS SHOWING 25% USAGE. THE NEXT TEST WAS HAVING THE WIFE COME OUT AND CHECK THE NOISE LEVEL. WITH THE GENERATOR ONLY 4 FEET FROM THE CAMPER AND THE BEDROOM LOCATION BEING RIGHT THERE THE NOISE WAS TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE FOR MY WIFE. THE NOISE WAS FINE WHILE IN THE CAMPER LIVING AREA, YOU COULD HEAR IT BUT IT WAS REALLY NOT NOTICABLE WHILE HAVING A CONVERSATION. IF THE GENERATOR WAS PLACED TOWARD THE REAR THE NOISE LEVEL, I'M SURE, WOULD BE EVEN LOWER. AFTER RUNNING THE IGEN4500 FOR OVER AN HOUR THE TRAILER WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE REFRIGERATOR WAS WORKING FINE AND CHILLED. REALLY THE ONLY OTHER ITEM{S} THAT MIGHT BE USED WOULD BE SMALL ELECTRONICS. ACCORDING TO THE FRONT OF THE IGEN4500 THERE WAS MORE POWER AVAILABLE. AFTER ALOT OF RESEACH PRIOR TO MY PURCHSE, I AM SO PLEASED WITH THE IGEN4500. I WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW AFTER OUR SUMMER TRIPS AND WE PUT IT THROUGH THE ACTUAL CAMPING EXPERIENCE.

Very happy with this generator! Bought it to replace a larger, much louder generator and I love it! It is extremely quiet even when running our AC unit in the RV. Also love the electric start/stop and the digital readout, neither of which the older unit had. The gas cap is also well designed and it's easier to fill. Pull-out handle also works well. Great generator!

Nice working generator I ordered an extended oil drain hose to make life a lot easier you will probably want to do that yourself part number Hon1010. I owned a predator generator before I hope this one is as good or better I'll follow up in a year And give a better review. Predator plastics are a lot thicker better made these ones seem a lot More flimsy. I was trying to take off the cover/outside pull start side cover one of the bolts that hold the main steel handle is frozen and I can't get it off I might need to call for warranty and have them send another steel handle so I can break this one bolt off. Right now I cannot take off the cover on the pull start side. I'm hoping the warranty departmentIs outstanding I will also do a updated on that as well

It starts super fast even with the remote. So quiet, like you don’t even know it’s running. Great on gas, runs 21 hours on a tank with 1 ton mini split plugged into it. This is my second one and if needed I will purchase another one. Great product !!!!

the westinghouse igen4500 has everything you coud ask for already included. The push button star makes starting easy, the remote control makes it great for not having to get out of camper in the middle of night to shut it down at bedtime or fire it up in the morning to heat up the camper without leaving the bed.

Very quiet Inverter Generator, plenty of power with a 4500 peak watts and 3700 running watts with a 30 AMP NEMA TT-30R that easily runs the essentials in my Home for power outage without problems. Very convenient to have dual fuels and a remote start, so I can be able to start my Generator without having to go out under the rain.

I only had it for a day so I can’t vouch for long term reliability, but I like it so far. Unboxed it, filled with the supplied oil, put some gas in it, connected the battery, and it started the first pull. Everything worked as it should and the electric and remote start is a nice feature.

Bought this generator about a month ago because our electricity goes out so often. Today, I got to use it. I was very happy with how easy it is to start and how quiet it is. It worked great and saved my canning session! I also got a paper saying I qualified for a bonus free cover, but the website it says to go to doesn't seem to have the offer. Sure would love to have the storage cover.

Bought this less than a year ago and used maybe 4 times after following the break-in instructions then just quit and wouldn't start. Customer Service believes the "TCI" needs replaced and is sending it to me. We'll see how that goes but so far I'm happy with the service.
