We suffered a 14 hour outage last Sunday, which resulted in us losing everything in our refrigerator. I immediately ordered this generator the following day. We received the item 2 days later and within 48 hrs suffered another outage. The generator fired up in three pulls after following the start guide sticker on the fuel tank. It ran strong powering my refrigerator, sump pump, a table lamp, 2 laptops, and several phone chargers. I'm not sure why I never purchased a generator before, but glad I chose this one.

Shipping was perfect. Assembly took no time at all. I think this generator will be a great balance between work, a trailer generator and a home back-up generator via transfer switch. Instruction manual is easy to understand. I am glad to have dual fuel, and plan to use mostly propane because the maintenance seems to be easier than gas

Everything seems fine, Im running it through a break in period but I couldnt start it right out of the box because I recieved the unit with a caved in cover over the pull start mechanism. The blue grill that houses the pulling assembly was caved in to the point where I couldn't pull the cord at all. I had to remove it and cut it and reform it so it would spin freely. All in all the generator seems like its well built enough and there is attention to detail in its manufacture. I would like for someone from westinghouse to get back to me and send me a replacement cover and pull start assembly though.

After a year of multiple power outages and ruined food, we decided to finally get a generator that could at least keep food cold. We chose this model because it was affordable and had excellent features for the price point. Once we got it home, we were impressed by the quality of the generator. It's solidly built, not flimsy at all, nor is it overly loud and obnoxious. Overall, we're happy that we won't have to worry about ruined food anymore, should we have any more power outages.

I have assembled and prepped, but have not used yet. Mostly assembled but did assemble stand feet and wheels, as well as add oil. Parts were very sturdy and easy to assemble. I used synthetic oil (5w-30) that instructions recommend, instead of what came with it. All-in-all, seems very well-built and sturdy. I'll update after use.

Once I realized this model didn't have remote start, I was very worried it would be hard to pull. I'm so glad my fears were unwarranted. I use propane and it's very easy to start. It completely powers my travel trailer while on the road. I'm so happy I bought this.

I BOUGHT THIS GENERATOR TO GO WORK IN NORTH CAROLINA AFTER THE HURRICANE. THE MEASUREMENT ARE THE GENERATOR FRAME ONLY. IT SETS HIGHER ONCE YOU ADD THE WHEELS AND FEET. I HAD TO LEAVE THEM OFF TO GO INSIDE MY TRUCK COVER SO IT WOULD CLOSE. OVER ALL THIS GENERATOR WORKS GREAT. I HAVE ONLY USED THE 120 SIDE OF THIS GENERATOR BUT PLAN ON USING IT AS A WHOLE HOUSE BACK UP IF NEEDED.

Purchased my WGen5300DFv and the process was flawless. Arrived early and with no damage or missing parts. Easy assembly. Started easily and worked perfectly. Unlike many other generators I considered, this one came with wheels and handle and will supply 120 or 240 volts.

The only bad thing i have found so far is both of the blue covers (alternator and pull cord) definitely get beat up during packaging. the box looked perfect but both have some dents and paint chipping. other than that it's smaller than i expected and meets all of my requirements. if i have issues i'll update my review, but the setup was easy.

After thinking about getting a generator for years I finally decided to buy this unit. After putting it together and adding the oil I hooked it up to a propane tank and it started right up. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. I was expecting it to be louder. I just bought this unit in case the power goes out at my house for an extended time. Hopefully I will not use it much. At this price point it is worth it.
