Exceeded my expectations!!!

Direct hit from Ian and without power for 11 days. This unit was more than capable of powering my 700/2200w fridge,a box fan,an 1,100w 12,000BTU a/c,several 8w led lights and charge the neighbors as well as my devices. In a sea of generators this one was middle of the road. Not the most quiet but with a few sheets of plywood baffling was able to sleep with it buzzing away a safe distance outside the open windows. I plan on making a DIY zombie box and I imagine it will be even better! The dual fuel option if great since keeping a 20lb propane tank is easier/safer and better for long term storage. I got between 11 and 13 1/2 hours per tank with moderate loads. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD EXTENSION CORDS!!!

It Saved the Day!

After getting my generator I stuck in in the corner still in the box to set up when I had time, Well, time ran out 3 months later when we lost power in a wind storm. Lucky for me I had some gas in the shed. It was dark, so I opened the box, put the wheels on and put the oil in the was included (thank you!). And Bam! started up with 1 pull. I let it run for 1 hour without a load as the instruction said. Plugged it into my box that was set for this and went in the house to finish watching the movie i was streaming. Very Happy!

Works flawlessly!

I was looking for a generator that can handle all the electrical requirements needed for our camper and found this Westinghouse to be the perfect match. The instructions made the initial start-up a breeze, and it runs everything in our camper including the air conditioner without any problems. A simply great product at an affordable price! We couldn't be happier with our purchase!

Happy I bought this generator

I bought this thinking it was an electric start but it is not, considered taking it back but pulled on the handle and it seemed pretty easy so followed the start up instructions, hooked up the propane tank ( didn’t want fuel sitting in it until hurricane season, but wanted to see if it would run) gave a couple of pulls and it started. I let it run for the hour break in period and it really isn’t that loud, has a hum verses a high pitch sound. There were no damaged parts and all parts and tools were accounted for. I would definitely recommend this generator, it’s not too heavy to move and like the way the pull handles folds down out of the way.

EASY TO USE

This is the first generator I've purchased. I needed it following a hurricane and did not have time to complete a complicated setup/install. I simply followed the clear directions to add the wheels and the generator was ready to go. Everything I needed (except gasoline) was provided. I was impressed that the generator started on one pull - impressive. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Straight forward…

Purchased portable generator while our power is out after a storm. Set up was very straightforward and seems to be strong enough for what we need. Currently running a full-size refrigerator/freezer, a smaller upright freezer and a fan and the generator seems to be quite stable, without sounding strained.

So Far All Good

I just received my generator today and was easy to assemble (put on wheels), was easy to add oil with the supplied funnel that screws into the oil port and was easy to start. I am currently using only propane as it comes with a decent length hose and easily attaches to generator. It took a couple of pills before starting but it did have to get the propane into the system. It ran nice and smooth and did as it should when I hooked up a good sized leaf blower to see how it reacted. I haven’t added gas as I won’t use gas until an actual power outage that I hope doesn’t come.

Generator was easy to assemble out of box

Came just in time during hurricane beryl and I opened box and got it up and running in less than 15 minutes(of course reading manual) I did however experience a stripped oil filler cap that resulted in it not closing all the way and leaking motor oil. Idk how or where to find the size of the oil filter cap so I can get a new one.

Awesome Looking Generator

I haven't started the generator up yet. I just unboxed it, and assembled the wheel kit. I found a few small issues when unboxing it. The first one was there seems to be a small amount of oil all over the machine I am assuming to help prevent rust. The second issue is I noticed the bottom of the generator had some scratches on it. It looks like it has been dragged across the floor scuff some of the paint. The other two issues was the fuel gauge that is mounted on the top isnt lined up straight and the plastic that covers the face of the generator has already been removed. All minor issues, anxious to start it up and see how it runs.
