Great Back Up Unit

Bought it to protect my Fridge and Freezer when the power goes out. More than enough power, so can use with other appliances. I am single, so wanted something small enough to move myself and enough power to keep everything running (except HVAC). I had a small hole drilled thru my wall so I could keep all doors closed when running the unit. Simple to put together. Nice, heavy duty wheels. I purchased the adapter (generator) cord with the three extensions on the end. Then I purchased the needed extension cords for each major appliance so I wouldn't have to keep moving them. I am no going to purchase the storm cover for when in use (outside, of course) so it doesn't short out. Would recommend this be an available add on.

Great So Far

Purchased as a backup for direct wiring into the house during hurricane season. Have transfer switch all set up and generator test worked as desired. Will not attempt to run at full load until necessary but looks to be the right size for all appliances/lights with the excpetion of Washer/Dryer and whole house AC.

Good price for a portable unit

We live in an area in Texas where lights go out every time there is a Strom so this is an essential item and fir what it can do and the cost it was a great purchase. And I like that it does dual fuel and both 120v and 240v so we can connect any item we need including or AC.

WGen5300DFv Easy setup / start up

I bought this unit about a month ago and have only done the setup and break-in. Packaging was good easy instructions and setup. I filled it with oil, chose the Propane setting, and it fired right up on the first pull. I let it run about 45 min. and changed the oil (would strongly recommend) very black and some small metalic sparkle to it. I repeated this 2x more and the oil looked great on the last change. I had no issues while this was running, and it was not that loud for what it is. I love the dual fuel aspect of this as it is way easier to store propane than it is gasoline. just waiting for the power to go out this winter to get the first use in. I would recommend this to a friend for sure.

First time owning a generator

I read all the positive reviews but was still skeptical. Being that I reside in Florida, hurricanes and storms are frequent. I was surprised at how quiet the generator was under no load during my gas break in period. It was quieter than my push mower. The generator was not overloaded just put under a little load for now. I will hook it up to a propane tank in the future and see how it compares. I used the factory oil for the break in period then drained it. I read a lot of forums that state you should do a flush of the factory oil after the break in period then replace it with synthetic. This seems like good advice and its is what I did. I have not had to use it for power related items yet but it is ready with a full tank and fuel stabilizer.

So glad we got this!

I've wanted a generator for a long time, then finally decided to get one just before x-mas, as a self gift. Then in January, big snow storm and we lost power for 4 days. So glad we decide to get this generator. Pretty simple to set up. Took about an hour since it was my first time doing this, so took my time and re-read the instructions like 3 times, lol. It powered right up. I used it to power our fridge and run the furnace overnight. basically ran it for 2 days straight with no issue, and still had plenty of gas left.

Great piece of equipment

Just purchased and have not used if for emergency purposes…….yet. Started right up. Easy to operate. Relatively quite. Only concern is the choke lever is plastic and somewhat cheap feeling. I’d feel better if it were metal. Nonetheless, I’m guessing I will get many long years of service. I also think it was a VERY GOOD buy!

Dual Fuel is the way to go.

We got this generator to keep the lights on and the food cold; because of all the Bomb Cyclones and atmospheric rivers coming through California. It is a little load, but I haven't had any problems w/ it doing what it was supposed to do. It burns approx. 1/2gal of propane an hour. Like the wheels and foldable handle for moving.

Great product….just took awhile to start.

Bought this before a big snow a week ago. Great instructions on set up and precautions. Worked great once it started and that was the only issue. It took about 30 minutes to start. After 30 minutes of sweat and frustration, it fired right up and haven’t had any issues since. Highly recommended.

Impressed so far

I have only ran the generator for about 2 hours to get started on the initial break in of the unit however I must say that set up and assembly of the wheels and stand was simple and straightforward. The unit cranked very easily and all the instructions were very clear. I hope that I don't have to use it however I am confident that if it is needed that it while provide more than sufficient power to run our 30' travel trailer with ease.
