Ran the generator for during hurricane beryl. After about 48 hours the generator did not start, removed the lg spark plug the original plug and cleaned it and reinstalled and it started. Ran the generator another 8 hours, it failed to start. Replaced the spark plug with an ngk plug and changed the oil with 10-30 synethic oil and it started for another 60 hours. After power was restored i removed the ngk plug and it was carbon fouled. I’m afraid that engine is not burning the fuel properly

Bought this for when our power goes out. Started it to make sure it ran and when I cranked it up the motor vibrated the entire time it was in idle. When it was put into throttle it smoothed out some. This was while it was hooked up to propane. I have not tested it with gas yet.

I've been considering buying a generator for a few years now. I spent a long time online researching portable generators and decided on this product. It was delivered today and I am very pleased. It is exactly what I was looking for. It was packed great and shipping was fairly quick.

Haven’t used this yet, but we bought it because we borrowed a Westinghouse 5300 just like it to get us through a power failure, and it worked really well. Ran two fridges, fans, TV & lights and still had power to spare. Easy to start and it ran 9 hours on a 20 lb. tank of propane. I highly recommend this machine.

I bought this during hurricane 🌀 Beryl and it's kept my fridge and deep freezer going. While running fans with no power for a week with no problems. Easy set up and start up. Like the features of when to change the oil with the blinking indicator.

Very fine piece of machinery. Started up with the first pull. Not too loud, but I really like the dual fuel flexibility this generator offers. I'm not quite looking forward to my next episode of an electrical outage, but at least now I'm confident I will be able to maintain my home with the power from this generator.

Power outages are very common in my area. The wGEN5300dfv is reliable and most important, POWERFUL! We not only use it for home power outages but for tail gating and camping. It’s heavy duty and the price is amazing for what you get out of it. The competitors offer way less for way more. Definitely investing in my second Westinghouse!

I've only had the generator for a few days but it seems to be well machined and built to last. Nothing about it feels cheap or plastic-y and they include tools to service the engine as well as a comprehensive manual with diagrams and schematics. Will come update this review if I run into any problems in the future.

I bought this generator to replace another brand that will not start. Got it delivered within a week and was easy to set up and start. I think this unit will run more than the old generator so it will handle all of our needs as we gear up for hurricane season.

I purchased this generator after a recent power outage lasting three days. The unit appears to be well built. Assembly (wheels and feet) was quick and simple. I was impressed that this unit is dual fuel. I had never seen that before in a small generator. The only thing that I am unsure of is the 240 volt/120 volt selector switch. It appears that you cannot run a 120 volt item at the same time you run a 240 volt item. For example, I could not run my well pump and at the same time have a lamp on in the house. If this is the case, I can work around it. My well pump, hot water heater and stove are probably all the 240 volt that I would use. Probably would not use the dryer. And then I could only use one at a time. This unit was purchased as an emergency power generator to be used at my home during utility power outages. So, it may not get a lot of use. I have not actually run this unit yet but plan to do the one hour break in soon so that it will be ready to go should I need it.
