Purchased during extended power outage following hurricane Helene. Easy set-up. Only had to add oil (included in box) and has. Easy on gas compared to other generators I've used. Did exactly what it was supposed to do without any unexpected hassles. Very pleased and will look at Westinghouse again for larger unit in near future.

One thing to note. This generator cannot put out 120v and 240v simultaneously per the manual. I bought this to power my well which is on an adjacent property and requires 240v so it is perfect for my situation. I have another generator for my house. If you need 120v and 240v at the same time you need a different generator.

Bought this for the inevitable power outage that gets us when least expected. Now that I have this generator at the ready, there has been no power outage in my area....but I am ready for when there is. After filling the oil,, it starts and runs easy enough, but that is all I have done so far.

This unit came in a few days late but Lowes has been having issues across the board with their trucks coming in anyways but no big deal! Came in in perfect condition. Got it assembled and ready to start up in maybe 20 minutes. Started right up on the 2nd pull! Very happy with it so far. Did a test run and it will run my tankless water heater(don’t have it hooked up the whole time just when we need to shower), ran both my deep freezer and refrigerator, along with tv/wifi and a nice fan we got from Sams Club. Did the job. Hopefully i wont need it anytime soon but when the time comes where our power goes out again, ill be ready!

I bought this as a back up power in case the house loses electricity. Solid build, easy to start and easy to set up. The only thing I will complain about is that when delivered it was placed on its side and the bottle of oil was crushed. Oil was all over the parts and leaked onto my sidewalk. Better directions on box or shipping method of oil would be nice.

When our power went out we borrowed our neighbor's generator and after using it, decided to buy one of our own! Easy to start and has good options at a good price. I would have liked more regular plugs for extension cords, but for the size of the unit I understand why there were only 2.

After a ton of searching, through various web sites, home improvement Apps, and old school window shopping, I finally found the generator I've been looking for. Not only does it have the power I need, but the sturdy construction tells me I will have this beast for years to come. Thank you Westinghouse for building a quality product for an affordable price.

Added engine oil, connected hose to propane tank, turn the switch on, open the tank port, pull started the generator easily. The noise is at reasonable level. Do not have a chance to test it under load yet. Waiting for electrician to come install the transfer switch.

Used our Westinghouse 5300 for the first time after we lost power with hurricane Beryl. We opted to use the propane since we had several full tanks. Easy setup and startup. Very satisfied. It ran like a champ and powered our freezer and a couple fans in the house with no issues at all. One can of propane lasted about 10 hours.

I have had this since Dec. 31, 2022. I have tried it about 8 times, using both gas and propane. It conveniently was able to change from one source to the other without shutting down. I had a slight problem with the choke position, I have learned were to put it. It seems fine so far.
