Just purchased my Westinghouse WGen5300DFv generator, set up was a breeze. Simple wheel and stand design, added the supplied oil, with the supplied spin on funel for a no mess pour, turned on the nessasary switch and fuel valve, added fuel and it started on the second pull and purs like a kitten. So far a great product with easy set up.

Bought this a few months back. Had an interlock and a 30amp line wired to my panel. My whole house is electric and powers the whole house. Only thing I have to do is run either the hot water heater or furnace/AC seperate cant run them both at the same time. No deal breaker

I bought this last week. Was delivered with a few cracks and chips to the black protective frame coating. Adding the engine oil is not user-friendly, having to screw in the funnel that is barely long enough to allow the oil to be poured in. Then you have to unscrew the funnel, now dripping oil, in order to check that you don't overfill. Would make sense to provide a container of oil with the same capacity as the oil pan. Ran the 1-hour break-in using propane. Started on the 5th pull. At the end of the hour I plugged in a drop light and it worked. Haven't used yet in a real world situation, like a blackout during a storm. Not happy about all the warnings about not using in rain or snow, as those are the situations where it will likely be needed. Can't rate or recommend until I actually use it in a blackout.

I bought this generator when my old one stopped working. Easy start for the most part and much quieter than my other one. I do have a bit of a concern with where the oil drains. I have this generator on a cart to facilitate oil changes but it pours out on to the frame stabilizing bars rather than out where I can put a jug to collect used oil. I catch most but not all.

I bought this in 2020. There was a recall initially but the company took care of everything and ended up sending me a brand new unit. This unit is incredible. Use gas or LP and the ease of switching between sources is a major plus. The unit is quiet (for a generator) and gives enough power for whatever you need. Great purchase!

Purchased as a backup for direct wiring into the house during hurricane season. Have transfer switch all set up and generator test worked as desired. Will not attempt to run at full load until necessary but looks to be the right size for all appliances/lights with the excpetion of Washer/Dryer and whole house AC.

Generator quality out of the box is much better than my previous one. If the problem I describe doesn't repeat I would give this 5 stars for the value. Fired right up on propane, dowever I had to stop about 20 minutes into break in and when I tried to restart on propane I could not get it to run, would just sputter and die. Switched to gas and started right up. Hoping this was just due to break in and will not run into this problem in the future.

We bought this a month ago before a winter storm was hitting our state. We didn't have to use it though, surprisingly! Love the features! If you are snowed in and run out of gasoline, it is great to just hook up a propane tank and keep our heat and appliances going! Easy to start too. Just a couple pulls and starts right up.

Got hammered by Ian. This generator was a Godsend. Easy to fire up and plenty of power to run everything we needed. Really nice that it runs on propane as well as gas. You never know what you can find when everyone within 50 miles is scrambling to get fuel at the same time.

except for the oil dipstick being in a really funky and hard to get to spot; setup was a breeze! I wish the manual told you how much oil you need but since it came with a bottle of oil that is 3/4 of a quart and that filled it, we're gonna assume 3/4 of a quart. Was a breeze to get it to start for the first time! Not too noisy, for a 4 cycle combustion engine.
