Seems to work well.

Bought this generator recently so haven't had a chance to put it into practical use during an outage yet. Setup and assembly was easy, motor cranked easily with just a couple of pulls on both gasoline and propane fuel settings. Plugged light into generator to test power production. Ran generator for approximately 2 hours with no problems. Seems to work well and is easy to operate.

Great Value

Bought this yesterday as a backup for the freeze expected in South Louisiana. Purchased this model due to the great reviews. It was a good price and offered gas/propane sources. It will also be used to power the Living Quarters in my daughter’s horse trailer. Easy to get set up and get running. I hope I don’t have to use it for the freeze but have peace of mind just in case I do have to use it.

Hot Shot Trucker
5 out of 5 stars review

Game Changer

I bought this gas generator several months ago and use it in the bed of my pickup truck for my trucking gig. I started a hot shot business a few years ago, and previously used (3) marine deep cycle batteries with an inverter inside the truck to power a fan and/or a space heater. I sleep in the back of the cab when I'm on the road and found the batteries when fully charged will power a thermostat controlled space heater inside the cab ALMOST the entire night. If you're in Montana in the dead of Winter, it's not good to run out of power in the night and not get a full nights rest. This was the answer I was looking for! I bolted it to the bed of my truck to prevent movement during transport and to prevent theft. It's a duel fuel, but I've only used gasoline to date. It's nice to know if I need a portable power source to power anything else while I'm on the road it sure gives me a lot of peace of mind! I also purchased a Gen Tent to run it if there's precip. Love the product!

Good value

I purchased to have supplemental power in the event of an outage and to have if I purchase an RV. This is a good value compared to other comparable units. I liked that it was dual fuel and had the TT-30R in addition to the L14-30R and 2-110 volt plugs. It is light and compact. As mentioned in previous posts this unit could use some improvement on packaging and arrived with some dents and scratches because of the lack of support within the box. However, the dents and scratches appear to be cosmetic. The oil and funnel were convenient and and the unit started easily. I ran on gas and propane which were easy to switch from one to the other.

Got it a day ago all items where there! Serviced Oil and gas it was shipped without any as stated. Started second pull ran great on gas or propane. Quieter than I excepted alot to do with muffler, no vibration noticed mostly because of rubber mounted engine. Great Warrenty 3 yrs. unlimited customer service advice. Not Perfect but Good Enough

Completed the 1 hour breakin and tested under load, works as advertised. Good instructions for startup and operation. Wish they would explain why not to switch between 120/240 while running. I see nothing in the schematic that would hurt anything if there is no load (I'm an engineer). Only problem I have had is I can not get it started when on propane. Even after running on propane it will not restart on propane. Need to use ether starting fluid or switch to gasoline. Perhaps I am too much of a girley man to pull it hard enough. An electric start option would be good.

Has All I Need

I have only started it and it is in the break in phase now. I normally review after I've used it for some time, but they want this reviewed at registration. It has the features I want at the right price: dual fuel, G14 plug, TT30 plug, fairly efficient engine, and has wheels!
