Easy to set up and use

We bought this on Sunday and hurricane Milton hit Wed. Thankfully we were only out of power for a day. But it was nice to have power for the fridge, 2 fans, TV w/dvd player and charging our phones. We have lived in the south for 16 years and have never had a generator. So glad we had it this time and it was easy to set up and use. We used it with the propane.

Great buy

Opened the box, slapped on the tires, filled it with oil, put some gas in and hooked up the propane. Took a few pulls and it cranked right up. Have put about seven hours on it. 3/4 of the time propane and about 1/4 gas. Runs like a champ! Purchased it for emergencies, after our deep freeze last February. Hopefully , won't need it but, just in case.

Over all a good generator

Bought this generator to help us with the Power Shutdowns going on here in California. It was pretty easy to unbox and put together the wheels and bottom bombers. The instructions are pretty straight forward and clear to understand. I put the oil, gas and powered it, started right up on the first pull. ran it for the recommended hour to break-in the motor. Over all I'm very happy with this purchase/investment.

great product JIC

Bought this generator to have in case we lost power due to storms. I assembled it when they were predicting severe cold weather and attached a tank of propane. Pulled the cord a few times and it fired right up. Never had to run it for any length of time but felt safe having it ready should we need it.

Shipping damage

After I took the generator out of the box I found it had been dropped somewhere during the shipping process - see attached photo. The supplied funnel for adding the oil is a poor design. Still ended up with oil leaking out while filling. The generator seems to be working ok but will give it a real workout later.

Easy to use! GREAT power output for the price!

This generator was purchased during the power outage caused by hurricane Helene and has been absolutely *CRUCIAL* for keeping our lives stable. It provides excellent power for the price, and can easily maintain a separate fridge and freezer at the same time as powering several home lights and small appliances, like a CPAP machine. Changing the oil could be improved if the drain plug was positioned better, but it is otherwise easy to do. Just make sure your pan is short (height-wise) and long enough to catch the oil as it falls and spreads along the frame below it. It only holds .74 quarts of oil (provided at purchase and about 24 oz) and needs to be changed after the first 25 hours of use. After that it needs to be changed every 50 hours. The generator will run for approximately 13-14 hours on a full tank of 4.7 gallons of gas. If you prefer, it can use propane as a fuel source, but we have not used it with propane. Overall highly recommend this product.

Works about as expected.

Runs and powers a few things. This will keep my refrigerator and freezer going as well as lights and some small space heaters. Should run the water heater if I turn the refrigerator and freezer off during the process. Came with a broken spark plug boot (igniter kit assembly part #50100022), but may have been dropped in transit, as it seems an axle was a little bent, but I expect Westinghouse will send a replacement boot. It fired up right away once I glued and taped the boot together for a break-in run. Some LED lights in the house flicker with generator motor variations, but I expect you would need an inverter generator if you were picky about that. Some LED’s do not handle even small voltage variations very well.

Ready for the next power outage!!

I am ready to meet the next power outage. I like the dual fuel feature as leaving gas in a carburetor makes for work in the long run if you forget to drain the fuel. (be sure to get non ethanol fuel) I finally got around to testing this out. Started and ran great. For testing I plugged in two heaters and ran a circular saw. The generator responded to the saw well. Certainly not enough to max out generator, but around 3000 with propane. I might change to 5w30 synthetic oil as often power outages happen here at -20 deg F-- pull start hard. Long term-- we will see but so far so guide.

Dual fuel option is awesome!

I have a small collection of propane tanks laying around. Because this generator can use propane, I have filled up the tanks in case of emergency. They can be stored indefinitely and the propane won’t go bad like gasoline will. I love having options!

Great product!

Glad i purchased this! Its a little heavy to move before you put the wheels on but once they are on its a breeze to move. Got it out the box and put the oil in it and it fired right up after a few pulls. havent tried the propane yet but im sure there wont be any issues. Great product and a good price as well.
