We bought this generator to help in case of power outages during storms, and as a backup power source for our RV. It was really simple to put into operation, and started right up in both gas and propane. The included toolkit kept me from digging through my toolbox, and it even includes a funnel to help pour the oil. Literally everything you need to start except the actual fuel. Haven’t used on our RV yet, but tested it on our household power items (heater, fridge, etc…) and it works great. Not as quiet as an inverter generator, but no louder than a lawnmower.

Runs well, love the dual fuel capability, easy to get going. Will be a great emergency generator and won't have to store a can of gas or gas in it. Also great customer service. Got a wrong pin size with a wheel. Talked to a good customer service representative that seems to either work for them handles a lot of their calls. Part order confirmation was in my in box within 2 hours. Also another huge plus was finding a detailed parts break down with part numbers for any future needs in the manual.

Purchased this genny in preparation of the possible power outages from the "Siberian Express" snowstorm headed towards the Great Lakes. This is the first one ever owned, and the many excellent reviews, affordability, and Westinghouse brand helped make my decision. Since it hasn't been put to the test yet, this review will be updated later.

With hurricane season upon us we thought it would be a good idea to have a generator for back-up. Instruction were clear. Assembly was minimal. This model runs on propane and gas but am just trying the propane at this time. Easy start. Right now running to large fans, a small fridge and a 42in TV. So far we are happy with the results

I worked with the U.S. Army Generator 2Kw for 20 years while while working with Mobile Kitchen Trailer (MKT). The quality of workmanship by Westinghouse Generator WGen5300DFv is outstanding. It runs great, noise level is lower than other generators around this size or model. I'm going to purchase another one for my food truck business. Very happy with this Generator

Bought this generator to replace a unit I have had for over a decade, followed instructions, Five hour break in period, everything worked fine. next day, half the electric went out and machine was running rough. Going to need to contact customer service. Will follow up( if possible) after machine is repaired/ replaced..

I bought this in april 2020 and it stayed in the box until recently a tropical storm knocked power out in several counties around me. I quickly put it together and started running drop cords for the refrigerator and hot water and the coffee pot....it works great.

Ran generator for 8 hours attached to my house using the RV 240 receptical and wired it into the the compressor fuse box which made my electrical panel hot on both legs. Make sure you turn off the main breaker before doing this. It ran two refrigerators, computers, lights with no trouble.

We got this Generator because of the storm that happened this thursday may 16 2024 in Houston. The first day was ok it was not that hot but the next day it was 90 something degrees Fahrenheit without electricity no air we had to run the generator almost 24 hours we got the connection for 240v and we could use the refrigerator, a window air conditioner tv and some more and it did not heat up ,nothing...i really recommended this brand and this generator..

Bought this and installed an outlet to my breaker box for it. The 5300 easily ran my fridge, roll-out portable A/C unit, TV, and ceiling fans. Easy to switch from gas to propane. Small but mighty! So glad I bought it before our first hurricane of the season!
