Not a vacuum. None of the robovacs are.

Robovacs are sweepers, not vacuums. Works well on hard floors and ok (picks up surface items) on really low rugs. The mop is also more of a wiper-it picks up dust and small crumbs. But that's good enough for me, as a daily cleaner. I can vacuum and mop bad messes if necessary.

Good robot value, with an easy to solve flaw

Device functions fine for me,Features are good but it has a technical flaw with the OEM battery not holding a charge (On line you will find many mentioned of that issue). The solution was to buy a new after market battery ( I just do not trust the original), Open the device (eight screws) and swap battery. The battery costed me under 20$ making that robot a decent deal (but one have to be able to operate a screwdriver and to search (google, etc,), read and follow instructions on line

It does its job for the most part, except the multi floor part does not work as expected. Every time you move it to new location, it forgets all the zone settings of the previous location and you have to start over again. Its kind of annoying. Also we have bar stools with curve bottom. This can easily get stuck on it. Once we by passed that zone, it works fine.

Deebot N8 gets thumb down

I have experience with EcoVacs Deebot N8 and OZMO T8 AIVI . Both models have the following issues: The robot consistently struggles on carpets of all colors. On dark-colored carpets, it gets stuck, attempts to move, then eventually aborts the area. On lighter carpets, it circles aimlessly in specific spots. It recently took approximately 90 minutes to clean a 10' x 20' light-colored carpeted area. The robot does not resume unfinished cleaning after recharging, and Ecovacs has not provided a fix for this issue. It only works effectively in small areas—under 500 sq ft. For larger spaces, it requires a recharge, but since it doesn't continue from where it left off, cleaning the entire area becomes difficult. Recharging takes a long time: more than 3 hours even when the battery is only halfway depleted. When the robot is idle on its home base, the dust-emptying function randomly activates for about one second. This issue occurs sporadically, and Ecovacs has not provided a fix. Ecovacs should clearly indicate that the N8 and OZMO T8 AIVI models are suitable only for small areas with hardwood or tile flooring. These models are not recommended for any carpeted surfaces.
