Great product! Just one thing. Some of the holes on the top did not line up with cross pieces. Everything else.was awesome

Great structure. 2 of us put together. Had 3 rd person to come and hold structure to get together. We put all pieces together first. Made it easier.

The moment I installed this pergola on my newly laid concrete patio, my backyard became the best place in the world to me.

I avoided assembly for a few months because I thought it was going to be very hard. It sat in my garage taking up space until I needed to make room for other stuff. My wife and I completed it in less than a full day and it's very nice. Shouldn't have waited so long.

This kit came well-packed, perfectly labeled, and had the clearest instructions I have ever encountered. The quality of the wood and hardware could not have been better. I am so happy that we chose this company and their product and have given this information to several friends.

I had to wait for my son-in-law to arrive for the 4th of July holiday to install it as he insisted on doing the installation. The wood was very attractive. The hardware was all there. The pre drilled holes were perfectly positioned for ease of installation. The instructions were well organized and very easy to understand. Both of my son-in-laws were visiting along with my brother-in-law. We began the remaining construction that was not completed earlier in the garage and began the installation at about 9:30 a.m. and completed the installation at about 2:00 that afternoon. The installation was surprisingly straightforward and I couldn’t be more pleased. Well done, Backyard Discovery!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my pergola! We didn’t really use our back patio until it was installed, but now we use it all the time. We can sit under our pergola and birds come to the feeders, next to it. I’ve had so many compliments on it because the back of our house was straight across, before and our pergola adds so much interest. Love it for coffee in the mornings to relaxing visits with friends.

Purchased the pergola because of the affordable price. Super impressed with the quality of the product and ease of construction. The kit was marked accurately and instructions were very clear. After construction I was impressed with how sturdy it is! This is a winner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We always talked about adding a pergola to our deck. My husband who is very handy said he could build one himself. Well, one day while at our local Sam's Club, we were walking past this pergola set up in the store. I said, why do all that hauling of wood, measuring and cutting, when you can get a kit and it is all done for you. We bought one that day.

I bought mine on clearance at Sam's for $800. The basic pieces are ok, but if you expect it to last I would recommend the following. I added a 2x6 cedar beam underneath the pergola main beams on all four sides. The pergola beams are bolted in the middle and are not structural. I also added a beam in the middle to support the roof structure. I would also recommend using hurricane clips on all the beams and joists. Once I did all of this the entire structure became very firm. In addition, you should coat the entire pergola with a clear polyurethane every year. The added cost was about $250 in wood, finish, and hardware.
