Didn't Last Long

My battery died 1 month before the warranty period expired...it was a no hassle exchange. Even though it was covered by the warranty, I would not buy another one...there are better ones out there in the same price range. The current price for this battery is 1/3 more than it was 3 years ago and the core charge also increased from $15 to $18....but batteries in general have all had a big price jump in the past 3 years.

It's a battery

What can I say after a couple of weeks. I put it in my car and no longer worry about listening to the radio with the engine off while I pump gas... We'll find out how good it really is in a couple of years or so. The one it replaced lasted almost 5 years.

thank goodness they’re warranted

Bought a Duracell 51R to replace the battery in my 2017 Honda CR-V. The original battery lasted nearly four years and only died after a severe period of cold weather. It limped along till I got tired of recharging it every couple months. Installation of the new battery was easy enough but within a few months, the battery started showing signs of failure. We are retired and it is not uncommon for us not to drive one of our vehicles for several days at a time. After about three months, I broke out my fully automatic battery charger and fully charged the new battery. I usually do that before installing any new battery, but for some reason I failed to do that for this one. After charging the battery to full capacity, o had to do it again several months later. I had the dealership inspect the charging system and got an A+ report that all was perfect. Yet the recharging cycle repeated itself almost like clockwork. In July 2022 I drove the CR-V on a short trip sixty miles away and back. I stopped for fuel at the corner station and that was it. It stranded me. A very nice guy also gassing up gave me a jump and I made it home. But that failure doomed that battery with me. I took it to Sam’s Club the next dat and they tested it and ultimately gave me a new battery. This time I fully charged it before installing it. My fingers are crossed.

Battery Died-Don't have any in stock to replace it

I can't give a review less than a ONE but this Duracell battery certainly deserves less than ONE. Battery lasted one year and two weeks. It got me stranded at my doctor's office. Needed jumped. Went straight from my doctor's office to Sam's Tire %26 Battery with all receipts and the battery failed all their tests. They said it needs replaced but they don't have any in stock to replace it with. So what good is their free replacement warranty? When you have a bad battery, you need your car working and need to replace the battery NOW--not whenver Sam's Club feels like getting a battery in. I asked if they can get me a battery from another store. They said they can't do that. They said the nearest store with a battery is almost 40 miles away from my house and told me to drive there. I can't drive long distances while I'm sick from the doctor. I gave them my number and they said they would call in the morning. They never called. I'm doubting the help they had there will take the time to call. I had another doctor's appointment this morning and I had to jump the car in my garage again. Before I went to the doctor, I immediately took the car to a Sam's Club competition parts store and bought myself a brand new Die Hard battery that was purchased and installed in less than 15 minutes. It starts my car perfectly fine. So forget about Sam's Club's free replacement. It's a joke. There isn't a battery at Sam's Club for my car in stock between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. As long as I had to forfeit and eat the other 2 years free replacement warranty and buy my own battery, I'll glady take the time to give Sam's Club a bad and pitiful review of how bad the Duracell battery quality is and how bad Sam's Club joke of a free replacement warranty is. Let's see if someone at Sam's Club is listening to this.

Weak battery after 2 years

Bought a Duracell 51R for my CR-V in 07/23. By 12/25 it is weak, battery light stays on after cold starts. Never had this issue with any other battery in any other car. Sam's says it tests as a good battery... How bad does it need to get to be replaced? Is Sam's hoping that it will last 2 days past the 3 year warranty?

Long lasting battery for 2013 CRV.

Lasted 5-½ years! Daughter using car in college. Drives about 6K miles a year. In my book this is a great battery. Purchased in 2017 at $103. Although price increased to $130 we are going to buy one for our other daughter's CHR now.

Lasted less than 3 years

Second battery purchased at Sam's Club that lasted 2.5 years. Just make sure you keep your receipt. As long as it's under the 3-year warranty you can get a new battery.

5 years and >>100k

Excellent battery for the price. Lasted 5 years and about 120,000 miles. Didn't want to push my luck thru the winter so I replaced it even though it was still working fine.

Won't last more than 3 years!

Bought 2 Sams Club batteries. They go out wthin 3 years. That's the warranty...but I've had 4 and 5-year batteries from other stores last longer than warranties.

Died before its time

2nd one that went bad before 3 years. The first one was replaced but this one died shortly before the 3 yr Warranty and I was not near a Sam's so had to buy a new one somewhere else otherwise the car wouldn't move. Not happy :(
