Overall, the cot worked great. Although the size dimensions were publicized, I had not realized that anyone beyond 4 years old was not recommended to use it. The way Walmart advertises this item is simply portable cot bed. But in receiving the item, the box clearly says for toddlers.

The new version of this bed is horrible!

We have several of these beds. One was purchased several months ago and 2 were purchased more recently. The old style is absolutely fine! However, the new version is horrible!! The support strap in the middle is very stiff and much higher than the rest of the bed, essentially like having a beam right under your child's hiney. My daughter said it was too uncomfortable to sleep on. I took a Seam Ripper, pulled out the stitches holding this support strap on, and cut it at the ends to take it off. Now she is able to sleep on it. No idea why they would send out the product like this. All of the "great" reviews on this are for the old style.

I want another one!

I love the bed. My 4yr.old sneeks in my room everynight and sleeps on it. It's big enough for him to grom into. I can pack it and take it anywhere. I even used it one night for my 2yr. old when he had the flu so he could stay in our room. Very safe and low to the ground. We will be buying another one for our youngest this summer!

Awesome!

My son (2.5 years) has only used this product once so far - but I read tons of reviews before deciding on this purchase. So far, the My Cot has lived up to all the wonderful opions I read before I made my purchase. We are using this as a transition from the packnplay to a bed when we travel. Amazingly, my son immediately laid down and went to sleep on this and napped for hours. He was obviously comfortable on this cot. It is so much smaller than a packnplay and much easier to set up and take down. It appears durable easy to clean. Though we haven't traveled yet again, he has mentioned wanting to sleep on his My Cot since. Have no complaints what so ever! Additionally, Walmart has this product much cheaper than any other site that I found.

A bed of toddler joy

Our daughter loved this cot. She was so excited to have something just for her in the hotel room. It's narrow enough to not take up too much space and folds up quickly and easily. The only thing I'd change is to add a clip to the bag to keep it closed. We'll probably buy that to add-on at the fabric store.

Great for toddler sized kids, better than airbeds

After going through 2 toddler aerobeds and one 2-minute toddler air bed in the last 18 months, I was ready to abandon the airbeds. They all got leaks that were impossible to find and repair effectively. This travel bed is wonderful. It's just like carrying a foldable outdoor chair like the ones you take to watch the kids' soccer games, only it's smaller. We used it twice so far for my child who is 41 inches tall, it worked fine. I did put a fleece mattress pad on it (left over from the old aerobed!) and it made it comfy. And for under $20, you can't beat it. I do wish it was a little bit longer, but it worked fine and should last me another year at least.

Children's Portable cot

This was a good buy and my grandson had his own bed for a few days with me. I did wish that it was a little bigger though because he had outgrown it almost immediately. He is 2 and a half and weighs a little over 30 pounds. This cot is for kids under 75 pounds so it worked but he wouldn't get any other use out of it on his next visit since he would be a little too big. But the time I had it, I put it at the end of my bed and my grandson was close at hand and he had a good experience sleeping on the portable cot. I loved that.

I thought it would be a little bigger and when I opened it, I thought it would be too small for our two year old grand daughter. Turned out it was perfect and would have even slept 2 two year olds. Im just not sure it would have handled the wrestling match if there had been two of them in it. Great for visiting children.

great product

This bed has been a lifesaver for our family. All of the things the previous reviewers stated are true. I will add, however, that the frame will bend slightly under too much pressure. I put my weight on it one night when I leaned down to kiss my daughter, and as a result the frame gave way a bit. Not a huge problem, but something to watch out for. Also, just a suggestion, I purchased an inexpensive foam "egg crate" mattress topper and cut down to size to use along with this cot. It seemed to make it a little more comfy. I just roll the padding up and tie a string around it for travel.

great for grandparents house

We decided to go with a portable toddler cot for when our granddaughter 2 1/2 stayed at our house. I was worried about her falling out of bed and this was perfect for her. It is low to the floor in case she would roll out and not hurt herself. And it is portable so I can store it when she isn't here. The only drawback is it doesn't seem comfortable enough, so under the sheet I put a little padding in. That is just what I wanted. Who knows she probably didn't mind either way.
