great cot!

I got this product used for my 4 yo daughter, just to test it out. She loved it so much that I had to buy one for my 2 yo son when he out grew his pack-n-play. It is easy to take everywhere. It packs down small, is light-weight, and keeps kids from rolling all over when not in their beds. I highly recommend this product. Other reviews have listed some problems, but I have not had any problems, not even with the used one.

Meets the need

Our 18 month has started to want to put herself down for a nap and has been using cots instead of cribs at daycare, so we got this cot and set it up in her play area. When s he gets tired she just walks over and lays down. She naps well on it. We decided to use this for our holiday travels since she has outgrown the travel Pack and Play. We also purchased a 2" thick piece of foam from a fabric store to make it more of a bed than a cot. I'm not sure if she cares, but it looks much more comfortable to me. Nothing against the product, but we found is that although she naps well on it, she is too mobile a sleeper to sleep the night on it (sometimes she falls off, though she'll pick herself up and put herself back in bed). Also, it doesn't work well when she refuses to go down for a nap or for the night, since she can get herself up. Its also a bit exciting when she can wake up from a nap/overnight and climb out on her own! My only complaint about the product itself is that the plastic bolts/caps get stripped easily on the metal screws (that affix the cot to the frame). As far as I can tell there is no reason that the cot couldn't be permanently affixed to the frame, which I think would make it a much better product. We managed to re-secure it, and if it continues to give us problems, we'll consider returning it (under warranty) or just using some locktite. All in all its serving its purpose, and I would buy it again, but if there was a higher quality version available, I'd buy that instead.

Could be better

I purchased this cot for my 3 year old to take naps when we're visiting relatives. I was disappointed at all the loose strings on both the cot and the carrying bag. The bag also has a section about 5-6 inches long where it is not sewn properly, but I was able to easily fix that. I was also disappointed at the nylon that is used both on the pad and the "sheet" because whenever my daughter moves around, it makes a lot of noise and usually wakes her up. Her naps are usually around 2 hours, but now they are more like 20 minutes. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Fantastic Buy

Couldn't be happier with this product. I bought one for my two year old while we were traveling and moving, which we do a lot of being military. He loves it. My one year old threw a fit until we got him one too! It slopes in (kind of like a hammock) so that it cradles them in it. They can't roll out in their sleep, however, smaller children need help getting out of it just because of their balance or lack thereof. It is so light and easy to set up and put away. It has a small sheet that you can wash. I even got in it with my son when he had a nightmare and I'm 135lbs and it didn't break or bend. Very durable. A lifesaver, really, if you do a lot of traveling. I even take it with me on playdates just in case. It weighs less than my purse.

Great for childern

This cot is eay to set up and store in its bag, its just like a folding chair works great. My 2 year old likes to lay on it but I got it for daycare kids to sleep on and it will fit bigger childern to age 6 or so. This will last awhile and its very portable so good to take traveling and it wont take up much room!

LOVE IT!!!!

As soon as it was out of the box our 17 month loved it ! He is a toddler bed already so we thought this would be great since it is much smaller that a playpen and non confining. Like some of the other reviews It does need a little cushion and the eggshell pad works wonderfully. Very close to the floor without being on the floor, just in case he did roll off. It is much wider than I expected also. I think it was a great buy and good price. I would definitely recommend!

Loved it again!

I bought the blue one 2 years ago, and then recently bought the pink one. I really like these cots, they fold up easy for travel and my 3 year old can set it up herself. She really loves her cot for travel, and sometimes even likes to use it at home watching movies :) Perfect for traveling, overnight trips to Grandmas, Daycare, etc. And they don't take up a lot of space :)

Excellent product

We bought this for our 2year old for a trip out of town. Normally she would've slept in the play pen but we also have a 6 month old and we wanted to give the oldest a little more independence. It sets up really simple and the removable fitted sheet fits on it perfect. My 2 year old weighs roughly 30lbs and the weight rating is 75lbs so she should be able to use this for a couple years!

Very pleased

This cot has really impressed me. There is barely any setup...probably less than opening an umbrella. My 3-year-old graddaughter loves to nap in it when she visits and sleeps better than she does in a regular bed. The reinforced band in the middle of the cot has not bothered her, but is the only issue and is easily solved with slight padding. I have already recommended this to several people!
