Wonderful product!

I purchased this cot for my grandson to sleep in at our home and it was definitely money well spent. This cot is very easy to set up and take down. It's light enough that even my 2 1/2 year old grandson can drag it across the floor. It comes in a heavy duty canvas bag and doesn't take much room to store. The only drawback (and it's not a big one) is that it's only 6 " or so off the ground, so, giving 'night-night' hugs, reading stories, etc., is a bit challenging. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great little cot! Not built to last. :-(

I bought this for a road trip with my 2 yr old Grand-Angel. It was perfect! It comes in a compact little bag with a handle and was carried easily into the motel. It was much safer then a roll-away, low to the ground for safety. It does come with a crib sheet however I brought along and placed a large child's comforter on the cot and then wrapped this with a standard crib sheet (brought this too!) to provide a thicker padded sleeping surface. It does not have frame supports under the sleeping area that would be uncomfortable for the child. It is basically like very tight 'hammock' surface...framing all around the edge. We used a camp pillow and her fleece blankie, she slept very comfortably. I have used this in my home 3 more times for sleep-overs with her. The feet are large square plastic bases with small treads for stability and to prevent sliding. They do not mark my hardwood floors or my laminate floors. This item did meet my expectations and even more for the piece of mind it gave me to know that she was sleeping comfortably...off of the floor and safely. :-) I am disappointed that 1 corner is cracked away from the rivet. :-( I have contacted the company but they are standing by their 90 day warranty. This cot was not abused or used excessively, a total of 4 times, set up for sleeping and then put away. I won't use it again because of the cracked corner piece unless I can repair it on my own. I would recommend this product but would strongly suggest that you inspect it before the 90 days is up. This item turned out to NOT be a very good value for me with the money I spent on it. Bottom line: I am going to purchase this product again to replace the broken one. I am hoping that the first cot was just a case of being perhaps damaged and I just didn't look closely. I will take the time to inspect the next one very carefully.

Great school cot

My niece's nursury had the kids sleeping on mats on the floor and it was very unsanitary. I searched for an appropriately sized cot, that was reasonably priced and I found this one online at Wal-Mart.com. My niece loves it and its comfortable. The other parents in the school are now looking to buy one for their children as well.

Perfect for Toddler Travel

This works great for travel with my 2 year-old when we're at Grandma's for nap time or going to the cabin. It's really light weight and portable, the bag is great. We put a thick blanket on the cot for cushion and it sinks just enough to cradle him. There is no bar going across his back, so I don't know what those other people are talking about. We haven't tried to wash the fitted sheet that is included but it says that it's machine washable. I love it and would recommend it. The price is great too!!

Has problems - but they can be fixed

The collapsable travel cot folds up small and is easy to pack - it does this perfectly. Many other reviewers mentioned a strap across the middle making it uncomfortable. That strap IS there and left the way it is it IS UNCOMFORTABLE! However, I was able to rig it up so that my daughter slept perfectly stretched out across the cot. Before I go on I should mention I do a lot of camping so I had all the material I needed on hand and this didn't cost me a thing. If I had pay for these I would have felt differently about the cot. Here's what I did: I cut up an old 3/4 inch closed-cell foam sleeping pad (available cheap at many outdoor stores and possibly even Walmart). I cut it into 4 eqaul size squares, approximated 2'X2'. I laid these on either side of the strap - two high so that there was 1.5 inches (2 layers of the 3/4 inch foam) on either side of the strap. Then I took a "short" 47-inch long therma-rest self inflating sleeping pad and laid it across the whole set up. After doing this the top mattress feels flat and the strap is not felt at all. My daughter slept perfectly. If I had to buy these things on my own it may have cost another $60 - added to a $25 cot.. so that may not have been realistic. But, as I mentioned, I had them on hand. You may be able to find a knock-off brand short mattress instead of a therma-rest and drop that price down. Without doing this I WOULD NOT HAVE RECOMMENDED THE COT.

Great Toddler Weekend Bed at a Terrific Price

I have been looking for a portable bed for my 3 year old grandchild now that she has outgrown the pack and play. The first item I purchased was a 50 dollar blow up Disney Princess bed from JC Pennys. I wouldn't hold air so it was returned. Then one day I happened on this portable cot from Walmart for half the price. She loved it! It is very easy to set up and small to store. Very stable to sleep on. I tried pushing on a side to simulate a child getting up and it didn't tip over. The only draw back was there was no cushioning. I plan to purchase some thin foam to pad it because there is a strap across the middle underneath. I like that it sags or slopes toward the middle to keep the child from rolling over and falling out. My grandchild is a very restless sleeper and stayed put. Great price and value.

Works great

For the price and convenience, you can't beat this. We needed an extra bed for the grandparents house and this worked perfect. My 2 1/2 year old daughter slept on it for a week and loved it. There isn't a ton of padding but she seemed perfectly fine and slept well every night. Depending on the height of the child, I would guess this would work thru age 5/6.

Great solution for overnight trips with toddlers

Exceeds my expectations! Great value compared to other Toddler Cots. They have redesigned these...NO CENTER BAR, there is now a nylon strap. No, these don't lock in place when open, but there doesn't really seem to be any need. I have 2 yr old twins and these are perfect for our overnight trips to Grandparents since they are too big for cribs and too small for a big bed!

Great travel item for tots

We've had our travel cot for just a week, and our two-year-old slept on it three nights during a quick trip this weekend. He settled on it IMMEDIATELY. I think it helps a great deal that he sleeps on a cot at daycare. It sets up easily, and he appeared comfortable on it. I do think there's a bar that could get uncomfortable after a while, but so far he seems to be doing well. The top sheet is a nice feature for it, too. I looked at a similar product elsewhere, and it was going to cost nearly $15 more than this one. So far, we're glad we saved that $15. We also think it will be useful for stormy nights when our son wants to be near us, or if we must sleep in the basement due to severe weather.
