I love this iron! I’m a quilter and love the fact that it does not have auto shut off. However I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the only way to turn it off is to unplug. You need to add an on/off switch to the iron itself. That would make it a real gem.

Worst iron I have ever used. It lacks an on/off switch as shown in the instruction manual, has no on/off switch, and it leaks water in the first day of use. Hope I can get a refund instead of a replacement. Why? A bad design is a bad design no matter how many you try.

This iron is the greatest for me. I us it in my office where I have created a small sewing section instead of using my sewing room in the basement. (been having problem with stairs and walking) When I go to my monthing quilt classes it saves me waiting in line to use the iron. I would highly recommend it for someone who travels to classes, or I have seen a small laptop table made for the passenger's seat using a mini sewing machine, would be great then to but will have to find an 120v converter to a cigarette lighter or USB drive if possible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a conference that I was presenting at. I took this small iron with me so I felt more put together while giving my presentation. It was easy to pack and worked well. I did have to go over my pants a few more times than I would have with my normal sized iron, but it worked well!

I have not used my Rowenta First Class Travel Iron very much, maybe 5 times at most.The handle no longer stays up. I just read another disappointed customer's review with the same issue. It is basically impossible to use the iron and I do not need a steamer. I cannot recommend this product.

I bought this iron for my sewing projects. A fat iron is great for big items but while sewing it can be too large for pressing small focused areas. It is also good for sleeves on children's (and some adult) clothes so I do not press a wrinkle into the fabric!

I have purchased two of these irons. I lone almost everything about them; light, compact, stainless soleplate. Both irons have had the handle collapse under light pressure/use. I have attempted to contact the only authorized repair facility in my state and have no response from them via email or telephone messages left. I am very disappointed in the repeated handle failure and lack of service availability. These were not inexpensive irons.

I purchased this iron three years ago. I was really pleased with it then. Another iron, mini, came out that i thought would be better. I gave my Rowenta to my sister. The new iron is terrible!! I could not even give it away! I went online and without looking at anything else, re-purchased my Rowenta!!! This is the best iron in the history of ever.

Only reason I bought this is because a friend of mine has one and said the water isn't in the iron, it's in the handle. I was always getting white stuff on my clothes when steaming with my old Rowenta or any other iron I tried. I guess it's mineral deposits. This Rowenta so far does not spit out white stuff on my clothes. I wish it got hotter.

Whenever I use the steam feature, its leaks water all over the handle. I sew a lot and I wanted a smaller steam iron that would be easier to press seams, etc. I'm really disappointed. I've used Rowenta irons for about 35 years and have been very satisfied. I thought this iron would be of the same quality.
