Our family has used other charcoals in the past. Matchlight is the easiest to use and actually stays lit.

I have used other charcoal brands but Kingsford is the only one I prefer. Heats evenly and lasts longer than other brands.

Very easy to use....love it! I often have difficulty with using charcoal but this is even easy for me to us.
