robust flavor when smoked/broiled

Delicious meat. I simmered it for three hours, then placed it cut up for tacos. It was fresh and delicious.

The tongue I got was very good quality. It was just what I expected, it was very delicious when cooked.

It was a fresh product. Also when it was cooking, it didn’t smell awful. Usually organ meats or chicken smell sometimes even if you add seasoning or onions or garlic but this product was great.

Tongue itself is very good quality just, a little pricey per pound. I used in a authentic Mexican tacos and the leftover I cooked as a Mexican traditional brunch "barbacoa".

It is to expencive and it contains a lot of FAT and it is more FAT then beef!!!

Beef tongue is a bi-product of the beef harvesting process. This used to be $2/lb. not long ago. People from other countries use this meat because it is one of the least expensive parts of the cow, not because it’s a luxury or delicacy. Sam’s/Walmart has increased customers behind a savings message. Now that those cash-strapped customers are here, buying the type of beef supposed to save them money, Sam’s is over-charging. Sam’s Club has missed the mark and broken their consumer promise with this one.
