Tried to wash both grilling surfaces as suggested and the first one the spring on the button was already broken. Unit seems to heat up quite quickly which is good and the removable plates would have been a great feature had they worked unfortunately this unit will be going back

I received this grill for Christmas and have used it constantly since. I have grilled steak, chicken, fish, vegetables and hamburgers. Sandwiches are also easily done. This is a nice healthy way to cook your food as the grease runs off into easily cleaned containers. The grill opens up flat or folds to double grill. There is enough room on it to cook for 4 adults. I use tongs to flip the meat therefore all the natural juices stay locked in for very tender meat. You can barbecue inside in the winter with this. There is no mess as there is not an open flame so no grease splatter. The grills can be easily removed and washed and are dishwasher safe.I highly recommend for health conscious people that love grilled foods.

This is a great grill in this price range, and overall we're super happy with it: Pros: * Super easy to clean! Removable and dishwasher-safe plates are awesome! * Non-stick coating is excellent - I don't even bother buttering/oiling the bread anymore, and we still get paninis with nice crispy outsides. * Grills in this price range tend to be on the lighter (weight) side, but I've had no issues making excellent paninis with sourdough, ciabata and focaccia bread. * Size is perfect for two sandwiches - I make the kids' first so they can cool a bit while I make ours. * Difficult to burn the food - it doesn't get hot enough (even at max heat) to burn the bread, unlike making a grilled sandwich on a stove top. Cons: * Temperature control isn't really needed - off and max are the only settings we use. * The floating hinge isn't perfect, so I find I need to rotate (from front of grill toward the back) the sandwiches part-way through cooking to ensure even grilling.

Bought this last night after my Hamilton Beach one broke after five paninis.Works great.I can make two Monte Cristo sandwiches at a time,using normal sized sandwich slices. Just don't use this and something like a microwave at the same time because you'll trip your breaker. It also comes with a decent quality sprayer for oils (olive oil,etc...).

I bought this grill a month ago and have been using it almost every day! It's perfect tool to make my favourite sandwiches- for which I bought it initially, however, I was very surprised that I could grill meat and fish as well! I would recommend this multi functional grill to everyone! Ana

Having had 4 different Panini-Grills I assumed that they all performed similarly ... adequately. Well I am pleased to say I was wrong. May new Rock Panini-Grill is by far the greatest purchase of any in my 50 years of cooking. Thank For This Wonderful Surprise !! Marie

Overall I love the starfruit panini press - easy to clean, quick heating, rock grilling surfaces are fantastic. I'd give it a 5 but really don't like the heat indicator knob. It's a basic ergonomic fail - both sides look the same with a tiny indented arrow - I highly recommend that the designers make it easier to see the arrow indicator either through a different color or through a better design of the knob.

I received this for Christmas this year. Wasn't a lot of instructions about temperatures and things. Have used it for panini but it took a long time as I had it too low I guess. Cooked a thick steak tonight and it turned out perfect. Non stick and cleaned up quick with a soft sponge. Love it!
