[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had extensive Dental work done in October 2017 and could only eat soft foods until may 2019 and i was afraid that I was not getting enough nutrients for my body and I noticed that after the surgery the Dental office had a lot of Ensure for me to drink. When I got home I went online to investigate what Ensure actually had in it. Then I ordered some to help me get more nutrients that I needed to be sure I would not get weak or sick. Ensure is still part of my daily nutritional intake.

Hoping for a quick, good-tasting meal supplement, I tried Ensure Original vanilla after successfully healing an NSAID-induced gastritis with dietary changes and Mylanta as needed. Drank half of one bottle to see how it sat. Within an hour, I developed stomach pains lasting several hours, followed by loose stools. Based on so many good reviews, I figured it was something else I had eaten. Two days later I drank the remaining half bottle only to experience even worse stomach pains, again with loose stools. Going back to Carnation Instant Breakfast Essentials Light -- lower in fat, lower in sugar content, not as many chemicals ... plus, it's a good-tasting, quick, on-the-go meal supplement/snack that's never made me sick. As someone who's always followed a lot-fat, low-carb, healthy diet, Ensure is not the product for me.

I started sipping Original Vanilla Ensure day by day and started getting my strength back and gaining weight. If it hadn't been for Ensure I don't know what would've happened. I have kept drinking Ensure over the many years to supplement my diet as I never fully recovered from my condition. It still helps me everyday. If you have lost weight and are very ill with any type of stomach/colitis then this is a must have staple in your diet. It has no lactose either if you are sensitive. I am so thankful for this product.

But getting her to sip on an ensure and perhaps have a banana or small muffin is easy to do delicious, filling and good for her. It worth every penny we pay for it to ensure mom's health and well being.

He had been having trouble staying nutritionally balanced. His appetite has decreased, but his body still requires balanced nutrition. Once he started drinking Ensure daily, he hasn't had any episodes. He loves the flavor, but more importantly, he stays healthy!
