We use this everyday

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great glider bench that we have on our front porch. The kids love to sit on it and eat popcicles and I love the glider feature. I have sat here rocking a few of my babies while I enjoyed being outside.

Slats warp and screws pop out

We have two of the glider benches. The slats are attached with screws that over time pop out of the composite slat. These slats should have been drilled all the way through and attached with Stainless Steel bolts/nuts. I ended up doing this on my own to solve the problem. I wrote support and informed them f my repair, perhaps they will implicate it with the cost of pennies on the dollar.

Favorite Lifetime Piece

We own many Lifetime pieces but this is my favorite! It sits in the west facing sun and still looks amazing despite the sun beating down on it daily. It provides a nice and relaxing place to spend the summer nights (once the sun has gone down) and enjoy the sunsets.

Lifetime??????

I purchased guider believing it was a maintenance free lifetime quality product. Wrong … after seven years the bearing all rusted out of rocker arms and luckily no one was injured when they failed and disconnected from the base. Buyer Beware and budget S12.00 because every seven years you will need to purchase the replacement arms for the guilder or it will not function, but you’ll have some nice Lifetime yard art!!

Oh, no! We're glad that no one was injured. These benches have a 2-year warranty, so we're happy to hear that it lasted 5 years longer than the warranty period.

Beautiful Addition to Our Deck!

I picked this bench out as a graduation gift years ago. It is in great condition after several moves (not too heavy to move around either), and being exposed to the weather over the last 5 years. I love the faux wood look, without the need to upkeep actual wood. This is so great to just sit on and glide/rock for a while. It is such a relaxing bench, and when I had my newborn, we would enjoy the fresh air out on it almost every night with her. It was a great purchase, and it still looks brand new, after all this time.

Good Glider

Impressed with the materials used for this glider. Will not rot like our previous wooden glider! Assembly instructions were not in package and must be secured via Lifetime website. Packaging for glider needs to be improved as I had to repair bent screws. The pivot bars have tack welds that will break if not attached gently. Expect this glider to survive exposed to the elements.

The assembly instructions should have been included. I'm so sorry they were missing. Thanks for the feedback. I am going to forward your suggestions to our packaging team to see if we can make some improvements.

Nice Looking Glider

I purchased this Glider for my wife about a month ago. It had some damage due to shipping. This probably caused a problem with attaching the back of the seat to one of the arms and also attaching the glider to the right side of the base platform. I was not a happy camper at that point and called the company and explained what had happened when I tried to assemble it. I received an email from a very nice lady in customer service that went out of her way to resolve the problem. She offered me some options and in the end I elected to receive a new glider as one of the options. I am glad I did. When it arrived I looked it over and it appeared to be in good condition. It was easy to assemble and only took around 30 minutes to complete. It's nice looking and seems to be well built and my wife loves it! Not much else I can say about the glider. I gave it 5 stars even though I had some problems because it's worthy of the rating and the company's customer service is definitely worthy of the same! I would buy it again. The Lifetime Company is definitely a class act company that stands behind their product.

I love this glider!

I have had this glider for several years and it's the center piece on my deck. Down through the years, a couple of the slats have broken but Lifetime has been more than gracious about replacing them. I own this bench, the bench/picnic table, 3 long white tables and several chairs by Lifetime and will continue to add to my collection!!

Looked great, then...

We were very happy with last summer's purchase. However, after winter on our (Illinois) deck, we noticed considerable rust stains on one side of the rocker assembly and on our deck. Upon further inspection, we discovered that one screw holding the seat slats (which arrived assembled) had fallen out. It was discovered on the deck. Also, the heads of two additional slat screws on the seat showed heavy rust stain. When tipping the glider bench on end, a considerable amount of rusty water drained from the hole. In addition, the head of one of the slat screws holding the seat back at one end popped off, and the slat is itself warped away from the frame. This screw was at the other end of the chair. When placed on end, nearest the missing screw head, once again a considerable amount of rusty water escaped, staining our newly refinished deck. I am disappointed that a US product labeled "Lifetime" would so quickly appear to be deteriorating. The Chinese-made rocker chair which the Lifetime chair replaced had cost much less and had lasted (without rusting) for many years!

We apologize for the inconvenience. However, the rust color isn't actually rust, it's just a manufacturing byproduct that will not damage the bench. Please reach out to us on reviews@lifetime.com so we can make sure this all gets taken care of!

Comfortable, feels like it will last for many year

I chose this glider because of the Lifetime reputation for quality made products, and once again I have not been disappointed. It is comfortable for two people, sturdy, and will never have to be painted like similar wooden products. Buy this item with confidence!
