Best imitation crab I have tasted!!

We've been buying this crab meat for years. I use it in my alfredo sauce. This bag is plenty enough for 2 dinners, for us anyway. It is very good crab meat. I highly recommend! Oh, great price too.

they were out of the other type of imitation crab I usually buy so I figured this would be the same. this stuff has an odd ammonia aftertaste that's terrible. it's not expired. I have to drown it in flavoring which is not what I want to do.

Has anyone else noticed a difference in the taste of this imitation crab lately? I've bought this for several years but now it tastes funky. I threw away the past four bags. Is it just me?

I always picked up a pack of crab meat from Sam's that was packaged in the black styrofoam tray and saran wrapped. Recently, I went to get some and found it was replaced with this TransOcean brand. I tried it that same day and immediately noticed a difference. This brand is soft and mushy. It's not as thick as the trays. The taste also isn't good. I prefer the trays.

I am so disappointed that Sam's Club no longer sells their old imitation crab meat in the styrofoam tray. That tasted like real crab meat! This Trans Ocean brand tastes awful! No how much seasoning you add to it, it still tastes terrible. SAM'S CLUB IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS, PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL CRAB MEAT YOU USED TO SELL. PLEASE!!!

Good tasting imitation crab meat. Tastes even better if you add old bay seasoning & lightly toss in a bowl. Full of protein and not to high in calories. Makes a great main course to a meal or a wonderful stand alone snack, dip in some melted butter for a special treat. Highly recommend you try it.
