Very salty but good

Tough and no flavor

Decent enough crab that I think was Alaskan King, but it's tough to be sure. There is a lot of Southern King crab on the market right now that is different from Alaskan King. Southern King is not as sweet as Alaskan and has a different texture. If you care about what you're buying and want the best, you need to pay attention.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I purchased the Aqua Star Aqua Star Frozen Ready to Cook King Crab Seafood Legs & Claws with Scampi Butter (2lb, 12 Count). They were amazing. We had never cooked any of these at home. Only gotten out in a restaurant. They were easy to fix and everyone loved them. They even came with a butter squad to serve with them. Would definitely love to have these again!

Well I did get these last week, they look beautiful I might have made a mistake when I put them in the broiler because they were so salty that I had to throw them away. It comes with a butter garlic salt mix and I poured it on so I don't know if it were me or if they were just way way too salty but I couldn't eat them.

I purchased 4 lbs of these with the Intentions of eating them cold. DONT. there very salty cold. I steamed the next batch and they were perfect! No more salt issue. Didn't care for the butter so I made my own. "39.95 for 2 lbs can't be beat. I ended up buying 20lb.

I usually buy my king crab legs through specialty seafood outlets (either online or at a seafood market) and this is the first time I gave Sam's Club king crab legs a try. I was not disappointed at all. Ordered two packages for curb side pick up, cut them into pieces at the joint and then steamed them up. The result is sweet succulent king crab meat at an approachable price point. I did not use the included butter based on everyone's comments. One bag per person is more than sufficient, they are quite filling!

No no no no nooooo. Cannot believe all of the good reviews for these. Yes, it's a great deal with how expensive king crab has gotten over the past years. But it's inedibly salty. I'm not sure if it's because they're split shells and they absorb more salted water in the cooking process or if they're just cooked in overly salted water at the processing facility but these are SOOOOOOOO salty. And I love salt, like a ton! Our group at first thought the butter was really salty but I was eating the crab on its own and it was as salty as a green olive or a very dirty martini. Taste aside, the legs being pre-split makes them very rubbery and not crackable. We had to cut them with scissors - even though we baked and didn't boil them.

I purchased for Christmas Eve Dinner. As specified by other quest the butter is nasty. Now for the crab legs. The shells are mushy and extremely difficult to remove the meat. The meat was O.K. at best. I am a loyal customer of Sam's and this the first time I have left a negative review. Would I recommend, probably not.

Additionally, the fact that it's pre-cracked is also a massive plus. It comes with a good amount of scampi butter, too. I grew up in coastal Georgia, so I am used to fresh seafood, but this is a good alternative considering I can't get good fresh seafood where I live.
