The texture of this roast beef is different from other brands that I buy, possibly due to being cut into chunks. Hereford's has a better texture and comes with gravy/sauce. Butterfield's has broth instead of gravy but is rather tasty. Butterfield's is worth trying. I buy it on occasion when I want something different than my regular.

No more cooking a roast in the crock pot for me! This is such an easy and convenient way to make so many things. I make nachos, vegetable beef barley soup, chili, hot beef and gravy to pour over rice, baked & mashed potatoes, toasted bread, noodles. It is such a great shelf stable addition to my pantry. Family loves all the meals I create using this canned beef.

Each 4 pk of beef was delivered with the bottom cans be damaged/dented to the point they could not be kept for long term storage. One order was actually leaking and was returned to the store. This is the 3rd time this has happened! It appears machinery is damaging 60% of all packs.

It will need some seasoning to bring it up to being good. I bought it for filling the pantry with shelf stable protein and tried a can of it with a salad . It was about the consistency of meat you would find in a can of soup or stew . If you used it maybe in a casserole with veggies and a good sauce , maybe even burgundy wine it probably would be much better.

Taste is okay, but texture like canned corn beef. Very salty.

This is good canned beef, i just open a can and eat it cold with crackers, it is good to have around if there is a storm and you have a power outage.

I bought 10 packs of 4 equaling 40 cans. 20 of those can came very dented . I buy a lot from sams club and more and more PRODUCTS are coming in DAMAGED. This is so very frustrating

I was hoping this can beef would be similar to can beef we got years ago at Walmart. It is chunks of beef but too much water and not enough flavor. It was okay, but probably wouldn't buy again.
