However, I watched several YouTube videos and was thoroughly impressed with its ability to extinguish fires. For me, I love how easy it is to use. You just point it like a hairspray can and press down to deploy the solution. The traditional fire extinguisher requires you to pull a pin before deploying the foam. Thinking of my elderly mother who has dementia, I could see her forgetting that step in a panic and not knowing why the product isn’t working. A simplified product like this gives me peace of mind that anyone of any age or awareness could use it. It’s also more compact than the traditional extinguisher so it fits nicely under the sink.

I love that is so portable and easy to use, you just take the cap off, point, and press the nozzle, that’s it. We tested the product outside and it was extremely effective at putting out our little test fire very quickly! I will say the nozzle was a little rough for me to press down, but I managed. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family!

I saw this product last year, I specifically went to purchase the FX500 after seeing this first hand demonstration. The FX 500 put out many types of fires including diesel, magnesium, cooking oil, it covers all types of fire (ABCDK). The can for FX500 is much smaller than even your 2.5lb extinguisher. It was perfect to put in the door of both cars and in my kitchen.

While I hope I never have to use this fire extinguisher spray, I am thankful it’s user friendly for all adults and kids. Makes a great holiday gift for a young adult moving into their new space.
