I have seen this first hand put out diesel fires, battery fires, magnesium fires, and cooking stove fires. This little can packs a huge punch, and works without fail, and without user error. It works sideways and upside down, unlike other fire extinguishers. I have a few so far and will be buying more for my home, condo, and cars.

However, I watched several YouTube videos and was thoroughly impressed with its ability to extinguish fires. For me, I love how easy it is to use. You just point it like a hairspray can and press down to deploy the solution. The traditional fire extinguisher requires you to pull a pin before deploying the foam. Thinking of my elderly mother who has dementia, I could see her forgetting that step in a panic and not knowing why the product isn’t working. A simplified product like this gives me peace of mind that anyone of any age or awareness could use it. It’s also more compact than the traditional extinguisher so it fits nicely under the sink.

The company claims it is capable of putting out almost any type of fire which makes it very nice to have around. I tested the fx500 on a small fire in a fire pit and it put the fire out but I was expecting it to have more range. All in all it will get the job done and should be a good item to have around incase of a fire.

The bright color will make it easy to find in the event of an actual emergency. It feels like it will be easier to use than a traditional fire extinguisher too - no pins to pull.
