NO Beef MEAT in this product!!
I was looking to buy these "meat"balls and then read the ingredients: Beef Water, Textured Soy Flour, Onions, Defatted Soy Flour, Contains Less Than 2% Of The Following: Salt, Maltodextrin, Soy Protein Concentrate, Corn Syrup Solids, Dehydrated Onions, Pecorino Romano Cheese Made From Sheep's Milk (Pasteurized Part-Skim Sheep's Milk Salt, Enzymes) Spices, Sugar, Sodium Polyphosphate, Color Added, Dehydrated Garlic, Black Pepper, White Pepper, Canola Oil, Natural Flavors, Parsley Flakes, Dried Red Bell Peppers, Grill Flavor (From Sunflower Oil), Yeast Extract, Turmeric Oleoresin Color. FAKE MEAT!
Thank you for reaching out regarding the Member's Mark Italian Style Beef Meatballs. Beef is the first ingredient and should be separated from water with a comma. This is from a simple typo, leaving off the comma. We appreciate your feedback and assure you this is not fake beef. We will be passing the information along to get this typo corrected. Thank you again for reaching out.
The best!
We just bought these meatballs about a week ago. There definitely came more than we expected. We were able to make some with bar b que sauce and rice and it fed a family of four and we still have some left over. They aren't small meatballs either, definitely a good size. I would purchase these again next time I go to the Club!
Bone in meatballs
Wife bought this twice and both of the packages had meatballs with little bones in them. they don't taste very good as well. My kids would eat 8 in one sitting now I have to fight with them to eat this meatball. Once we go through this bag I am not buying it again.
Thank you for your recent purchase of our Casa Di Bertacchi Homestyle Meatballs. Your feedback is very important to us. We apologize that you experienced this issue with our meatballs. Real meat products are inherent to the possibility of bone. We purchase only deboned meat from certified meat suppliers. On occasion, a bone fragment will get by during the de-boning process. The actual bone fragmenting occurs at the raw meat processing plants during the separation of the various cuts of meat and not at our facility. We will continue to evaluate the latest technology that may be employed to eliminate bones in our meatballs. Our Operations and Quality Assurance associates will monitor this issue closely with our Production associates.
Not Good - Changed the recipe
These used to be really good. Nice spicy bite, tender, meaty. Now they have an off taste and that's it. No flavor, no spice, just odd tasting. They are barely edible now. Sad, because these used to be really good to the point of making it silly to make your own. These now border on awful.
Thank you for reaching out regarding your concern with our Member's Mark Italian Style Beef Meatballs. We sincerely apologize that you experienced an issue with our product. We are committed to providing quality products. The amount of gristle you described certainly does not represent the quality we would expect you to receive. We are confident this was an isolated incident but have alerted our Quality Assurance Team of your experience.
Love the Price but the Value = Sub-Par
Love the Price & but the Value? I tried both Old & New Packaging same meat 2 Stars. Pros: Easy to get ready in the Micro for fast snack or meal, just add marinara sauce. Cons A lil too greasy but i squish them in a paper towel. Meat quality could be a lil better. Too much Gristle! Id rather a bigger size ball & less pieces. I wouldn't mind better quality & less quantity.

watch your teeth
I have found pieces of bone in several of the meatballs. I didn’t think much of the first hard “thing” I found, but when I got 4 pieces in 3 meatballs in one sitting, that was enough. Won’t be finishing the bag. I don’t need a huge dentist bill from a broken tooth. When I really looked at a few of the pieces, they were pieces of bone. Beware!

We got these and I cooked them with some seasons and spaghetti sauce to send to my husband for work he said he was eating on small pieces of bones. We still have the bag in the freezer don’t know if I should take back to the store we only cooked about 4

Small and Greasy
We have been purchasing Members Mark beef meatballs to feed our growing family for several years - they were always delicious! However, the new recipe, while gluten free, makes several other compromises that diminish the product. The meatballs are smaller now than they used to be and their flavor relies more on the seasonings - resulting in a garlic flavor that overpowers the taste of the beef. Additionally, they are greasier and when we make marinara sauce with them there is a layer of grease at the top - this never happened with the old meatball recipe. Agreed with other reviewers that the texture is more gritty with occasional very small bone/cartilage pieces. Unfortunately, the means the previous tender and juicy consistency is gone. We will miss the old experience and will use another local grocery store brand in the future.

Great taste, but pricey when compared to others
These are actually really good but the current price is ridiculous. Buy from Gordon's Food Service or a grocery store instead. This is not warehouse discount pricing. These are currently $3.30/pound vs $2.5 - $3 market price elsewhere. They are really tasty so it pains me to say this. This, like many other Sam's products, are becoming more and more expensive, and are no longer competitively priced.
100% Beef?
I had put a bag of these in my cart, enticed by the description of them being 100% beef. I looked and the ingredients and was surprised to find that they are filled with soy proteins of various and sundry types. I do not consider these to be 100%beef, even if they meet some strange standard. Soy protein is not added for flavor, I would guess, so I put them back on the shelf.
