This a the best affordable sublimation printer. I did have a paper jam almost 2 yrs of having the machine one time and I called brother it was swap and I am better than ever. Love this machine its printout is beautiful and once its place on the product to be sublimated it is forever beautiful. Thank you Brother.

The brother sublimation SP-1 printer is outstanding! I highly recommended it for sublimation artwork. It does 8 1/2 x 11 (full page of paper) and also can go up or down fro there! Amazing- I really love this printer it makes artwork pop. I’m so impressed with the color quality. And the most spectacular thing is that you don’t have to shake the ink. It automatically will print once a week a small test to make sure that all the ink doesn’t get clogged!!! Can’t tell you how much fun and easy this printer is to use!!! Well worth the money!!!

So glad I got this! Set it up and no calibration tweaking needed. It's been printing great. I bought this when I had to replace my Epson Ecotank that I had converted/hacked into a sublimation printer. It did fine, but you have a lot of little things to mess with. Also, if you don't remember to print a couple of pages every week the heads clog. That's what happened to me and I could not fix it. Bought this Brother and love it because you don't have to mess with anything, just print perfect prints!

The only problem I have with this machine is you have to use it. Not occasionally or once a month, but really use it or you'll have to load it with regular paper and run nozzle tests until it cleans itself up. And the way you find out you need to do that is by getting a bad print on expensive paper. I suggest running a nozzle test BEFORE printing a project if it's been a week or so since using it. Beyond that I have had great success with the output of this printer. The properties and advanced pages actually do something, and advise you if you need a resize before you waste ink and paper. Tip - always check the Mirror Print status before clicking print. It's a feature I really appreciate because I don't have to mirror in whatever graphics program I use, but if you mirror in the program AND the printer you'll get what you don't want. Don't ask me how I know that. I've had nothing but good luck with this printer for sublimation and any problems I've had are down to pilot error.

I had previously converted a printer to do sublimation and it only worked for a little bit. Once I got this printer, the colors were brighter and images were sharper! I’m very happy with the Brother printer and cannot wait to put it to the test around Christmas time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been wanting one of these for years but never pulled the trigger due to price. I’m super excited about all of the projects I can do now and the things I can make. I just have to make sure to buy things that are capable of being sublimated, so that’s the only hang up.

I have had this for a while, and everyone said to hit the ink every day to make sure it doesn't clog. Well now I have to buy an ink absorber because now I can't use it at all. I only used 3 times, and I loved it but that's expensive. So, it just sits till I get the money so somebody can do fix it for me.

The app doesn't work. It want let me get past setting up a username in the state I'm in. There's no go forward button or anything. And then on my phone it can't even find the internet on none of your printer apps. This is very discouraging
