I bought this oven in 02/2017 and it is now slowly failing. Was working great until the ticker timer stopped working properly and now the oven will not shut off unless unplugged. The timer bell has also failed so I can no longer use the oven properly. It is still under 1 year warranty and I also purchased an extended warranty of 3 years when I purchased it. The extended warranty folks referred me to the Manufacturer and all I got was an automated run around.

I am currently using the second one of this mode. The timer went bad on the first one (kept running after it was turned off) and I had to keep it unplugged till I wanted to use the oven. Bought a new oven, same model because it does have features I really like. Same thing happened to this unit. Obvious problem with the timer function on this oven..

I bought this oven in December 2018 and it's now June 2019 and the oven has stopped heating at all. I contacted Oster since it's under warranty on June 11 when it was working, but heating at a very high temperature that could not be adjusted. I was sent an email to use to contact them. I've had no response from Oster since. Now the oven won't work at all. This is actually the THIRD oven exactly like this that has stopped working. The first after two years, no warranty. Bought another in November 2017 it quit heating in December 2018, again no warranty. So I bought this third one and the extended plan from Sam's Club, but didn't need it since this one is still covered. Yet there has bee NO further communication from Oster. I like the size of the oven, but so far, that's all.

I was happy when I finally received my oven in the mail but was taken back by the size. I was afraid I wouldn't find a good place for it but it just happens to fit nicely in the unused corner of my kitchen. I have never owned a counter top oven before but the first thing I made was a hit ham and cheese sandwich, a item I usually use the microwave to make. In the microwave the cheese never melts in the middle and something is always too hot in one place, burnt and then randomly cold. I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! It melted all the cheese evenly over the meat while heating the meat and then heated up my french bread to a nice crisp. Since my first go round I've made cookies, frozen pizzas, cheesy bacon fries. I don't think I've used my actual oven in weeks! This heats up to the right temp in half the time my regular oven does. *I received this product as a sample

I am impressed with the countertop oven that I was given to review because I did not expect a lot. Now I can say I don't use my regular oven at all. It is big enough to do everything I need and does it super fast. I have yet to find something that would make me say don't buy this. I used to have a much smaller oven which I used to just reheat things. But now I am having a fun time using this for different dishes just because of ease of use.

I have been using this Oven for a month. Size does matter when we make large pizzas, bread etc., and it scores well. It preheats and cools off a lot quicker than my regular oven. It cooks all food (Pizza, Cake, Casserole, Cookies, Brownies, Bread, Lasagna) quickly and browns evenly. All came out very well compared to my regular oven. I stopped using my regular Oven after I started using this oven. I would have given 5 stars if it had digital controls to keep things simple for everyone instead of the dial settings. Worked like a charm for 4 months, then the top element quit working and the bottom one went into overdrive and there's no controlling the heat. Everything burns. So disappointed that the quality didn't live up to the Oster reputation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to use when we are out and about in our RV. I am very pleased with its performance. Even in cooler weather, (50 degrees Fahrenheit, for instance), it heats up very quickly and holds the heat evenly. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this oven produces the same--or better--results as the built-in oven in my home kitchen! Large and small and oddly-shaped foods are evenly cooked: No hot spots, no cold spots. While our new motor coach is well-equipped with the latest and greatest, we don't really like to sleep alongside our cooking odors. So, I prefer to use this oven outside rather than the one installed in the RV. It moves back and forth from a storage area out to a sturdy table under an awning. Thanksgiving weekend I cooked out in cold wind, mist and rain. I was able to keep the oven away from the wetness, and I am happy to report that I baked the most perfect pumpkin pie I've ever made. Then in went a turkey breast, and that came out great, too. All guests were suitably impressed. (And now more of our RV buddies have the same model--it's really a great value!) We've used the oven repeatedly in the past several months, and it has proved its reliability: Roasted whole chickens, casseroles, deli pizzas, cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more cookies--all baked properly. Besides its ability to heat quickly and hold a temperature evenly, I appreciate these other features: --Temperatures are always accurate. --Even large items bake evenly. --It is easy to clean up. --It is light weight enough to lift from below waist level up to a table top. --Its outside bottom stays cool enough that I can safely use it on a sturdy folding table. It preheats almost instantly. --It has easy-to-set control knobs, (actually easier to use than digital controls). --For safety, it will turn itself off when the timer dings. (And the "ding" is plenty loud enough.)

Oster review The first thing I noticed about this countertop oven was the size, it's large, which for my family is a plus. We have a conventional oven that isn't reliable; so we have relied on toaster ovens for a long time. We eat at home/cook at home almost everyday, and use this frequently. So far it is performing amazingly. This oven has worked great for baking breads, muffins, pasta, roasting chicken, broiling fish and even baking a 16" pizza. We were thrilled to be able to do take and bake pizza again! The one thing we noticed was the crust doesn't seem to get as crispy as what we like, but we like it to be extremely crispy so it might be something that most others are fine with. I made roast chicken split breasts and it cooked them perfectly, even got the skin to be golden and crispy. I used broil for the fish and to quickly melt cheese. I tried the turbo setting on the quick bread, which is the recommendation, it worked great. It does seem to bake faster and more evenly. In other toaster oven styles we have had I always had to tent baked goods with foil during a portion of the baking process to avoid the top scorching before it was done. That wasn't necessary this time, seemed much more like a normal oven. The timer knob does make a ticking sound, reminds me of a basic kitchen timer, at first it really bothered me. However, I actually don't notice it like I thought I was going to, and you can set the timer to the 'stay on' position it doesn't tick at all; so if the sound bothers you there is an option. The pan that comes with the oven is a nice size, but the bottom has ridges. I have no problems using my pyrex glass dishes in it or using metal pans. I have had problems with other countertop ovens or toaster ovens being more difficult to cook in glass, but I have had no problems. I do usually cook a bit longer when using glass dishes, but that is with any oven in my experience that metal and glass dishes require some adjustments. It is also quite nice having two racks to use. I like the styling of the oven. The stainless steel looks nice and is fairly easy to keep clean, the glass door allows for easy viewing so you don't have to keep opening the door and dropping the temperature, and I like having the three dial knobs. The Oster Countertop Oven performed much better than I expected it to. I've used it for a few days and I like it. I was really impressed with the Turbo Convection Heat Function. It circulates the hot air within, evenly. I used this function while baking some chicken. It cooked the chicken pieces beautifully! I did not have to turn the chicken over. All sides were evenly cooked and tender. I baked a cake, also. The cake was a little overdone, which may have been my fault, but it was moist inside and tasted delicious. This oven is portable, which I really like. I can see it really coming in handy when there are big family dinners to prepare. It is about the size of a large microwave so it should comfortably fit in all kitchens, big and small. I am pleased at the ease and convenience of using it.
