If you just want to make toast this is great, but if you want to bake a pizza or anything else ur gonna have to double or triple the time it takes to bake in a normal oven. We bought it thinking we could stop using the big oven for smaller things and didn't work out. Would not recommend this.

I bought this for my son in March 2018 and he advised me that it was not heating to the degree setting. He tested it with an oven thermometer. I have a smaller convection oven made by DeLonghi that I've had for years, so I thought sure this Oster would be a good buy. In searching for information on how to contact someone, I also learned that they are less expensive than when I purchased this one for my son at Sam's. I paid $125.34 at Sam's and now I see they are $89.98. I'm not a happy camper and want to know what can be done to repair it without costing me the price of another one. I responded "NO" to the question below if nothing can be done, otherwise, it WAS okay at first.

This over lasts in less than a year. Power light comes on when timer is on. But Temperature setting does not work causing no power delivered to the heating elements. Therefore no heat is generated. I agree with one folk complaining this oven as well as the customer service of the manufacture. Do NOT buy this product because it quits working when you least expected, causing interruption of your morning breakfast.

Looks Beautiful. Sleek modern looking oven. When comparing to 1/4 sized convection ovens costing many times more, the Oster TSSTTVXXLL is simply amazing for the price, a great looking 1/4 sized, good preforming oven. Of course the Oster doesn't circulate as much hot air as more expensive devices nor does it insulate the inner chamber from the outer case as well. Additionally the heating elements are exposed as opposed to heating elements completely hidden, protected and surrounded by a specially designed high volume fan. Then again for Oster price we really can't complain. The Oster oven does a fine job. However, when something prematurely malfunctions it raises concerns of quality, safety and usability. The first issue the device uses a polarized 2 prong plug that leaves the entire metal chassis electrically floating. If anything were to break it would be possible the metal parts of the oven could become electrically hot. Not a good place to be. The oven needs to be wired with a 3 prong grounded plug of heaver gauge that grounds all the metal chassis. With a grounded chassis plugged into a grounded receptacle people handling the device are better protected. If something fails allowing current to flow into the chassis a circuit breaker would more than likely open. The second issue is quality of components. As with most parts in this oven the timer is basically a simple off the shelf mass-produced mechanical spring loaded electrical switch. The timer is a power switch and more importantly is expected to turn off the oven after setting the time. At this moment the timer does indeed turn off the oven however, moments later without warning it turns itself back on again. We are using the device as designed and instructed and while rightfully so are expecting the oven to properly function. We set the oven timer to cook as we go on with other household chores only to find out the oven kept running. After further investigation we found the timer properly turns counterclockwise towards the off position but dangerously continues to rotate counterclockwise towards the always on position to the far left. The oven turned itself off then back on again without warning causing a huge smoke and fire safety issue only moments away from disaster. Oster does manufacture many great and safe products. With confidence I recommend to others. On the other hand I really feel bad for writing a negative review but the truth about a product must be known. A lot of design, engineering and many people are employed to mass produce many products. Sad to say, some products of today are not worth the cardboard box they are packaged in. Oster should consider recalling all affected ovens from stock and refunds for all ovens sold.

I purchased this oven a couple of years ago, really liked the oven, use it everyday. It's been especially handy for handicapped daughter, who is in a wheelchair. About a month ago we noticed it began to burn our food,the oven is overheating while cooking at the correct temperature, one of the knobs has melted and we were afraid the oven was going to catch on fire. I told my daughter to stop using it. I have tried to contact customer service at 1-800-334-0759 for about two weeks, I have never been able to reach a real person, all I ever get is a recording stating, the call volume is extremely high and I must call back, I'm not able to even leave a message to have someone call me back. Very Frustrating!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this oven a month ago and when I opened the box and pulled it out it was large when I set it on the stand and used it, it did a wonderful job the items I took out of the oven were done and evenly browned. every thing I make in it comes out perfect Iam very glad I bought this over yes I recomend this oven to every one

Bought this because I was tired of heating up my big double ovens for a small job. Originally, I hoped I would get enough use out of it to make the purchase worthwhile. I use it constantly. The convection oven cooks items just like my regular convection ovens. I bought a temperature gauge because I was afraid that it would not be accurate. It was exact! Takes no time to heat up.only thing I couldn't do was toast. Absolutely love it and can't believe the price.

Definitely DO NOT BUY. I have purchased 3 of these and they quit working after a year. I am on the 3rd one and I purchased it on 24 May 2019 and last week it quit. It will not heat at all. Very bad quality item. I had to give it a one star. Too bad there is not a ZERO star

After about 1 year the timer broke. It would not turn off so I had to plu/unplug every time I used it. I've had it a little over a year and now. I have chosen to no longer use it. The product was great while it worked! I want to replace it, but my wife is very uncertain. She says the Hamilton Beach toaster over we purchased has never given us a problem.

I bought my oven 2 years ago, I loved my oven. It cooked anything I tried in it. We were about to cook pizza in it and it never got hot, not even warm. It's been my only oven for 2 years now, I dont have a cook stove with oven they cost too much so I used my Oster TSSTTVXXLL and a hot plate.. So I don't know why it quit was reading reviews and noticed where one guy said he had 2 and the heating element went out. Guess that is what happened to mine. No more baking or cooking in oven, cant afford a new one and dont know how to fix this one. I am 73 on SS and nothing left over after Bill's. Really enjoyed it while I had it though. Bought it at Sam's. If you know how to fix it I would really appreciate the instructions and maybe I can get it going again. Oh yes one more thing, the vent in back on right side blows cold air.
