Aside from needlessly changing the shape, the quality has suddenly deteriorated unacceptably. All the versions start falling apart within 10 days. I assume the idea is to 'drive' the consumer to buying more often. What it does though is drive me to checking out other alternatives as I consider the harm to the environment of the microplastics going down the sink. Cellulose seems to be the answer as sea sponges should be left to do what they do peacefully. And sea sponges don't biodegrade all that quickly. Just because 3M is using recycled plastics doesn't make the sponges 'sustainable.'

I love the heavy-duty scrubber sponge! At first I wasn't sure this weird rubbery green thing was really going to clean my nasty pots and pans - but it did, and boy did it! I've used my sponge on everything from pots with burned-on rice to mud-encrusted sneakers and it always gets the job done. The sponge fits my hand nicely, and it doesn't shed little "bits" like other sponges I've used. I'm definitely a sponge convert and I will continue to use this sponge on all the nasty, crusty messes that come my way!

I really like the scotch brite heavy duty sponges, they are really gentle on one side so you can clean your glasses and others items you dont want scratched, but turn it over and you can scrub your little heart on on thoes tough stains. There is nothing really like this little sponge, I call it little but its truely is a hard working sponge and heavy duty.

Why screw up a perfectly great design? These new sponges are too small to wipe a chef's knife with one pass, which makes them dangerous to use. They're too small to use on larger cookware and impossible to use when trying to wipe a cutting board or the bottom of a sink. This was designed by someone who never uses a sponge in a kitchen. This makes "New Coke" look like a brilliant idea.

in regards to the heavy duty sponges I prefer to use the scrubber side, it is amazing how quickly I can get my dishes, pots and pans and even the stovetop clean with out using too much "elbow grease"! I will always buy this product to do the never ending dishes. The teen in the house also thinks it does a very good job too!

After I wear out the scrubber part of the sponge I microwave it for a short time (seconds) then use it in the bathroom for the sink and tub.Then after I use them to the end of their cleaning life (so you would think) I then use it a few times for the toilet. Trust me I get well worth my money's worth. They work awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this sponge. I can use it for all my dishes, pots and cleanup needs. The soft sponge side is perfect for my dishes, cups and silverware and the rough side gets every bit of tough pieces off my pots and pans. Without needing to switch to something else, I can wipe out my sink when I am done. This one sponge works awesome for everything. I even have one that I use in the bathroom.

I have and use your heavy duty sponges almost every single day. They work great and even get coffee stains and other difficult to remove stains off of my kitchen counters and wherever else in the kitchen I need to use them as on the fridge. Our dishwasher cleans them well every time I was them. My hint is to place them on the top rack of my dishwasher. This way, they get desinfected with each wash and are like brand new all over again. I do use a wondeful kitchen cleaner which is a well known product while I am cleaning with your Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Sponges. I also use them on my pots and pans as well as on the stove and all my kitchen appliances. I do use the more soft side for those areas. I would like to buy your sponges with the handles to help my hands from getting the detergents on them. I'm sure that all of your products are wonderful and I intend to purchase all of them some day as needed. I have a house cleaning business and I use this sponge all the time, When dirty I just throw them in the washer and re-use them over and over again. I appreciate the fact they last a long time and do not fall apart with numerous trips to the washing machine. This is a hard working sponge and I must confess it saves me a lot of time and expense trying to keep my business outfitted. I use them at home exclusively. They are great for the kitchen tasks and in the bath for the hard areas to keep clean. Thank you for a great product

My family is actively into Scouting and your sponges are all we use. It is able to clean all of our gear and do it easily. I have never found anything to rival its ability to clean boy scout mess so fast. Love this product, for camping and for in my home!!
