Good quality

My husband should be writing this as he knows better what to actually say about it. But he did put it on our pickup the other day and says it seems to be made well and would call it a good quality product. It went on fast, and I'm sure would be handy to haul bikes when we need the space on the back for our camper or other things.

Compact & Sturdy

This bike rack is both compact and sturdy. The rack can be adjusted to tilt back, allowing for tailgate clearance, which is a very convenient feature. The straps for securing the tires are user-friendly and effective. The clamps are designed to prevent the bikes from moving, and they come with a lock to ensure security.

Well built and easy to use two bike rack

This bike rack is very compact and incredibly sturdy. The rack adjusts to tilt back to provide for tailgate clearance, which is super handy! The straps to secure the tires are so easy to use. The clamps will ensure your bikes won’t go anywhere and have a lock to keep them safe. All in all a great rack whether you’re toting two full sized or kids bikes.

Awesome Bike Rack

This 2 bicycle rack was so perfect. It is a rear hitch so make sure your vehicle can support it. The directions were very simply and thorough so installation didn’t take too long. It can also come off easily when not needed. Glad to have it to free up space inside our Honda.

Sturdy and Adjustable

This bike rack is very nice! Not too hard to put together. All parts fit in their respective places. It secures into the hitch with minimal movement. The bicycle wheel brackets are adjustable and the ratcheting straps hold the wheels firmly in place. The upper bracket is also adjustable to fit different sizes of bicycle frames. Overall I like the ease of loading the bicycles. This rack also tilts back so you can easily open the back hatch of your SUV or car without having to unload the bikes.

Tough bike rack

Was in the market for a bike rack and did a lot of research before deciding on this rack. After a few trips I’m glad to report this rack works very well and holds up to rough terrain. Two bikes even stand up well.

Great Value, but Not Without Flaws

The Kilimanjaro® 2 Bike Rack is a solid option for those seeking a budget-friendly hitch-mounted platform carrier. While it delivers in functionality, there are a few areas where it falls short compared to higher-end racks. Price and Value: The price is excellent, especially for a platform-style rack. It does the job well and holds bikes securely, giving peace of mind during travel. Build Quality: The rack feels a bit flimsier than expected. Although I have no concerns about the bikes falling off, it lacks the sturdiness and durability you might find in premium racks. The paint on the hitch also scratched off after just one use, which could lead to premature corrosion over time. On the plus side, its lightweight design makes installation and storage much easier compared to heavier racks. Design and Features: The quick-release straps for the tires are a standout feature, making it easy to secure and remove bikes quickly. Additionally, the adjustable center support accommodates various bike sizes and styles, adding to its versatility. However, securing the rack to the hitch requires tools, which can be inconvenient when setting up or adjusting. Overall, this rack is a great choice for casual riders or those on a budget, but if you’re looking for long-term durability or premium features, you may want to consider other options.

Bike rack

This bike rack is a great compact hitch-mount rack that holds two bikes. The rack was easy to assemble, with a good set of instructions, and folds up well for much easier storage than most other hitch-mount options. It is easy to use, relatively lightweight, and adjustable for a variety of bikes.

Quality Issues - Cannot Assemble

I was really excited about receiving this product. The rack appears to be well made and is heavier than what you might expect. However, as soon as I started to put the rack together I ran into an issue. When attaching the upright bar (as seen in the product image), I could not get one of the screws to screw into the pre-drilled hole. I tried all four screws provided, but none would work. This is clearly a defect from the manufacturer. I reached out to the company's customer service about this issue and received no response. I would not purchase this bike rack since quality control appears to be an issue and customer support is non-existent. I am highly disappointed with this bike rack and would look for other options in the future.

Nice features but poorly constructed

Lots of nice features and could be an excellent bike rack but I’m forced to give it only one star due to poor construction. Looks great out of the box, but nearly half of the holes in the frame have been drilled and tapped incorrectly and will not freely accept the included bolts. I was able to get all but one of them to work after a considerable amount of work and manipulation, but the one which I cannot get to work makes the entire rack unusable. One of the bolts to hold the receiver expansion piece on has stripped (rounded out hex head) before I was able to get it driven in far enough to sit flush and now prevents it from being able to fit in a standard 2” receiver. There are also rust / corrosion spots on places inside the frame tubing and one spot where the powder coating has chipped off. I think with better quality control and if it were manufactured to tighter tolerances, this could be a great piece of equipment, but as is, I cannot recommend this purchase. I also have concerns about the “spring loaded hitch pin hook” as it does not seem like it would be as secure as I would like compared to a hitch pin which goes all the way through the receiver and frame of the bike rack. As is, this receiver pin would only engage about 1”. Simply removing this and drilling completely through the frame would allow the user to use a standard hitch pin which would be much more secure. Lots of good ideas here, but simply not executed well, and I will not be using this product as is without serious modification, which will inevitably void the warranty.
