I was excited to try this seasoning. I am a bourbon and Buffalo Trace fan. However, I was kinda underwhelmed. The seasoning blend wasn’t bad but the next time I'll probably doctor it up a bit, give it a bit more pop! I would not go out of my way to purchase this product again.

I got this feeling really excited to try. When it arrived i oh so graciously pulled out a beautiful rack of baby backs from the fridge and liberally gave her a dusting. Smoked for 6 or so hours, my inner fat kid all excited to munch on those lil yummo wibs. Took my first bite, and it was all i could do not to spit it out. Totally ruined a rack of ribs, lol. Idk what it is, but its got a weird twang to it on the back end. Even the wife is in aggreaince with me, shes not a fan of it either. And she loves my wibs. So after that i just made her a sandwich🤣🤣. But hey everbodies taste is different we just do not like it. But yall give it a go, maybe yall with. Happy cooking

Used for smoking a Pork Butt several weekends ago. It was pretty delicious and had a nice bourbon and smokiness to it. Flavor was solid especially considering that my wife isn't always into BBQ sauces and this helped create a solid spice rubbed bark on the pork.

I thought this would have a stronger flavor profile since it is based on Buffalo Trace whiskey. Sadly, I was disappointed. I smoked a chuck roast over hickory with it and then turned the chuck roast into a pan or burned ends and you could barely tell I had used any rub to begin with. Too mild for a strong flavored meat like beef so I'll give it a try with chicken or pork on the grill so there is less other competing flavor and see if the milder meat allows more of the flavor to come through. It will probably end up in the trash can well before I get through the 9oz container.

It is a great rub! Not over powering, but adds a subtle delish flavor to grilled meats.

Made some ribs and they were delicious and you can really taste the flavor of the buffalo Trace. Definitely recommend and will purchase again.
