Great customer service and a wonderful quiet ac. I bought the 8,000 btu and 10,000 btu units. Both are extremely quiet and efficient. Had an issue with the original 8,000 btu unit and customer service immediately helped me troubleshoot to try and resolve the issue. (was louder than supposed to be) In order to resolve the issue a new 8,000 btu unit was sent immediately that I received in two days. Cannot say enough about how excellent and rapid the customer service team is!

The Windmill team was amazing to work with. I received my AC and noticed it was making a buzzing noise. After some troubleshooting with the Windmill team, they offered to send me a new one to ensure I was fully satisfied. All interactions were extremely attentive and helpful. The window unit now works nicely as well!

This unit was super easy to install. Once it's all in place it is very sleek and looks so much nicer than so many other AC units. It's pretty quiet compared to a previous one we had - we like sleeping with the sound of a fan or a white noise machine, so it's perfect. We would definitely recommend!

Installation was simple and the unit is attractive, although maybe a little bigger than I anticipated. I also expected it to be much quieter, which was maybe wishful thinking but it sounds like any other AC to me, not necessarily quieter or smoother like it was advertised.

What I love about this AC: I can sit near the AC unit and not have cold air blowing on me - it is directed up! It is truly the quietest window AC I have ever encountered. It was not as heavy as typical window AC's of the same size. While it is still an AC in the window in the middle of the room, it just looks nicer. It is much sleeker and modern looking, just not such an eyesore.

Just moved to NYC in May and wanted to purchase both an aesthetic and functional AC unit. The windmill is exactly that. I hired a task rabbit for the install through the windmill template so the install was a breeze. The unit is quiet on the low settings but can crank up and really cool down my room in a few minutes on the higher fan. The app is the best part and works seamlessly. I love to turn it on from my app when im 15 min from home so I can arrive into a cooled room.

Installed AC, set for 68 deg. Compressor runs constantly, room gets down to 63, totally freezing, compressor still runs! Tried again - set for 76 deg. Compressor running constantly, gets down to 69 deg. Still running! Totally disappointed. Bought based on Wirecutter review. I expect this device to keep temperature, not make it super super cold. Don't know how to solve problem.

I absolutely love my Windmill! It’s sleek, works great, and the customer service I received was top notch. I unfortunately had my new unit stolen from my building’s vestibule after delivery but Maggie was fantastic and they shipped me a new one quickly. I was so grateful considering this summer’s heatwaves. Installation was a breeze! I would recommend this AC to anyone looking to upgrade and improve their cooling capability in their home. I love the look of the air conditioner. The install was very simple thanks to your detailed directions. BUT! It’s much louder than I expected. The only time it’s quiet is in the fan mode. All other modes come with a high pitched ring that is almost unbearable to me. So… not in love with this but also don’t want to deal with a return. Maybe there’s something wrong with this unit?

We have two, one of each size for our 150-year-old family house. iPhone control is great for checking room temperature in another area in the house and cool to desired level. Design, of course, is unparalleled. We're planning to buy another once the planned window location is painted.
