Great Ride, performance but poor durability .

Happy with my purchase
gms6479Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/18/2020Big fan of Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+. Have them on two family cars. Just installed the new Pilot Sport AS 4 on my daughter's 2020 Honda Civic LX. Replaced the OE tires. It's a entirely different driving experience. Love these tires. Fantastic Product
Great Next Generation!
JROriginally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer CareThanks for sharing the love, JR! And thanks for your commitment to Michelin tires! - 5 out of 5 stars review8/1/2025This was my second set of these tires. My first set was on my 2021 Subaru WRX STI, replacing my factory Yokohamas. They provided better handling and were great in all seasons. This time, I replaced my 2024 Nissan Nismo Z’s factory Dunlops. I’m planning to drive my Z all season without any interruptions. I’m confident that these Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires will deliver!
Excellent all around!!
NISMO ZOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/24/2025I instantly noticed the difference in handling, performance, and traction in my 2017 Mazda 6 when I first drove on my Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. They are awesome! They are sure-footed on winding mountain roads and provide confident stopping even on downward slopes in rainy weather. Worth every penny!
Great traction and handling
JohnT97Originally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer Care MIC USJohn, Thanks for the great feedback! - 5 out of 5 stars review8/7/2024Replaced OEM 2020 Mustang with Michelin Pilot Sports all season. Absolutely, love them. A quiet high performance tire that grips the road on tight curves. You can feel the traction grip the road when you takeoff. This tire is also a smooth riding tire. A notch above the Eagle F1 and Continental DWS 06 plus.
Best performance tire on the market
JmmoncadOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/3/2025I just purchased a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 for a 2020 WRX Sport-tech RS. Replacement for the OEM Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT which wore out prematurely (~30 000 km). I immediately noticed much less road noise with the Pilot Sport 4 compared to the Dunlop tirs. My wife even commented: "It's quiet now, like a normal car". So far noticeably more comfortable on rough roads with good handling. Hopefully, the Michelin tires are more durable. Will see how
Less Road Noise. Good handling and comfort. Very happy.
mitten9999Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/6/2022I purchased a set for a our BMW approximately a month ago looking for a set of all season performance tires which we could also use in light snow but enjoy during spirited drives in the summer without the hassle and expense of 2 sets of wheels/tires.
Excellent all season performance tire
carcrazydocOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review6/21/20222009 pontiac g8 gt this is my 4th set of pilot sport a/s3 plus and it's a great tire it's on the edge of calling its self a all season tire by the winter it starts to crack from the extreme cold I believe and the tread life is horrible I do less than 12k a year and I only get 2 years out of them but I am a aggressive driver. Traction is great you can really push the car hard and still be comfortable at the limit even in cold weather rain the sidewall is really stiff its great for control but makes it a little ruff over bumps I have tried other tires in the same category or looked into a higher mileage tread life tire but always come back to the pilot a/s3 plus
Great ultra high performance tire
FbmOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/23/2025Came on new 24 Porsche Panamera 4. Total of 4,600 miles to date. Great handling and good in the rain. Works well on light snow too. Tires are different size front and rear so cannot rotate. Time will tell how long these will last. I would be happy to get 30k miles.
Very good all season performance tire
BluEyzOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/3/2021I've had my tires for about 9 months now and they're awesome!! My previous set of tires were the Continental Extremecontact DWS06. If I were to compare the two, in terms of performance and comfort, the Pilot Sport A/S 4 has been quite a bit better in the dry and wet weather...gas mileage is approximately the same for both tires. I haven't had the opportunity to drive in the snow so I don't know which tires are better. But in terms of treadwear, I would give a slight edge to the Continentals.
Great Tires
GKOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 2 out of 5 stars review9/9/2020BMW M235 My previous tires were Pilot Super Sports which I found to be fabulous in traction, ride and response. But, living in the snow belt, the lower temperature season can really shorten the time I have them on the car. So when I needed a replacement I thought why not go with the AS4 , maybe loose a little performance but enjoy a longer time with no snow tires on. I've now driven about 600 miles with them. I find them as harsh and uncomfortable as the RFTs that were OE on the vehicle. Jarring really even on the softest suspension setting. Further my dealer could not balance them for a smooth ride after 3 tries on the Hunter Road Force. I will say that after the break in, they had good traction in dry and wet. Never got to...

The tires ride smoothly, steer precisely, braking is improved, and wet performance is so much better and confidence inspiring. A great combination of both sport and luxury. As to a number of comments about the tires being noisy, they really aren't any noisier than competitive tires or the tires predecessor, the A's 3+. I think it's just that the tone of the noises a little bit higher pitched and therefore more noticeable to some people. On the other hand, I noticed that there is no noise difference when driving on asphalt and concrete, which is unusual because most tires tend to be louder on concrete. Not so with th...
Outstanding tire
HasbrownOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/15/2021Just purchased one 275/40/18 tire for Mercedes Wow these tires are light weight ,softer rubber texture Very limited amount of road noise. These tires somehow makes me feel more secure driving in the rain because it Has like minimal slipping It gives you an straight ahead planted feeling while driving in the rain even above highway speeds (You generally shouldn’t do ) On dry roads it creates perfect grip , turns where I point the steering wheel My car is a 5,145 pound Mercedes s55 and the tires makes me feel confident and more in control. But like they say on reading rainbow ,don’t take my word for it, buy the tires for yourself ! And you’ll see what I’m talking about first hand
Awesome tire
Adam pOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 1 out of 5 stars review5/17/2025I brought my 2007 Mercedes Benz CLK 350 in for service inspection as the "brake pad wear" light came on recently. During the inspection, I was informed that the rear tires on the vehicle needed to be replaced. All four of the tires on the vehicle are Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 B 225/45ZR17 94Y XL Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 B 245/40ZR17 95Y XL Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 B I was shocked by the news that these Michelin tires needed to be replaced, given that the vehicle is driven less than 4,000 miles a year, and the vehicle is almost never driven on the freeway, and is rarely driven above 35 mph on surface streets. I have now confirmed that these Michelin tires were installed by Big O Tires on December 7, 2020, at which time the mileage on ...

The Pilot 4 AS felt initially like it wouldn't be the same in handling as the 3+ AS but that was totally wrong. They handle great. I would definitely buy them again.
Smooth and precise handling
TCLOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 2 out of 5 stars review12/4/20202015 Mazda3 sTouring I have about 1000 miles on these, and was absolutely floored when I looked over the difference in fuel efficiency compared to the OEM tires. There is a drop of almost 20%! I checked the tire pressure with multiple gauges (2x analog, 1x digital), so they're not under inflated. The warehouse also inflated them with nitrogen if that makes a difference. I'm doing mostly highway commuting, so the nuances of 'better' handling may be lost on me, but they do feel like when I put my snows on- kind of mushy - on the road. After I get home (about 20 miles), the tires are very warm to the touch, even when it's raining. Don't know what they'll feel like in the summer. The warmth does make sense, if these tires have such a ...

(You Get What You Pay For) As for the performance I WAS very happy with the stopping, road handling (in all weather conditions) & an over all smooth quiet ride. However the Quality / Tread Life is absolutely horrible! 3 years and only 13,000 miles later and I NEED NEW TIRES ALREADY!!! Completely UNACCEPTABLE!
Very Poor Tread Life!

They’re much grippier than my old tires and are whisper quiet. Unfortunately, my MPG has taken a slight hit, but that’s a small price to pay for much more confident braking and handling.
Love it!!

I have also gained a fondness for a quiet , smooth ride, which you normally don't expect with a performance tire. I was therefore pleasantly surprised at how much these tires delivered all these qualities with so few of the usual compromises. For my purposes, this was an excellent choice, with much more grip than the OEM tires, and equal smoothness and very little more road noise. Unless you think you want a super stickey tire ( and are willing to pay the price in dollars and discomfort), I recommend the A/S 4. It looks like the new standard for an all season performance tire.
Great tire
