Rusted after one year

We love this geodome. Big problem that it rusted after one year. Major rust after two years, then moved and have to reassemble. Major undertaking with steel wool and heavy duty paint. I hope the company contacts me! I am doing it because my children love this. I want to do it correctly. Thank you.

Easy for 2 people to put together

My kids as well as the children I have in my in home daycare have LOVED this! It is age appropriate for ages 4-12 years. The younger toddlers aren't able to climb it but do enjoy playing inside the dome. I am so glad I got this size, instead of the larger size I was considering. My husband and I put it together in less than 2 hours total.

Great product!

We have 4 children ages 4-9 and they love this climber. It took them a few days but now they are all able to climb up by themselves. It is not too high so they can all jump off without hurting themselves. There is still plenty of room when all 4 of them are on it together. I love that the earth colors blend in with the grass and tree so it does not stand out too much. Great way for them to get exercise without even knowing it!

This Dome Climber turned my Introverts into Extroverts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Dome Climber has been a great addition to our backyard adventures this summer. I was a little concerned about adding any play equipment to the yard, out of fear that it would require maintenance, but was delighted to find out the Dome Climber requires none. I found the materials to be sturdy and high quality, and handle Utah’s extreme weather with ease. I’m happy to say that the unit fit easily into the back of my SUV, and I was able to get the box loaded into my car with the help of a store employee. I had to leave on a business trip the evening I brought the Dome home, so I didn't have time to assemble it. My kids were excited, so my wife decided to give it a go solo. She finished it in about three hours. She told me that the parts were clearly labeled and assembly was easy as long as long as you followed the directions closely. She said that if thorough step by step directions with pictures hadn’t have been included, assembly would have been difficult. The only issue we had, was my wife didn't know her own strength and sheared a few of the bolts. Lifetime included a spare bolt, but we needed a few more. I contacted Lifetime about getting replacement bolts and they took great care of me. They mailed the replacements to my home at no charge and in a timely manner. As you can see from the photos, we have a really large, expensive high-maintenance playset for my boys that they barely use. I should have bought it from Lifetime. I would have paid a fraction of the cost and it would have held up much better. The Dome Climber has been a much different story. It is like pulling teeth getting my boys off of the Dome Climber. It is worth every penny. They absolutely love it! My boys are constantly inviting friends over to enjoy it, and it has unlocked parts of their play and imagination I hadn't seen before. My wife and I are thrilled! Thank you Lifetime!

Incredibly sturdy - Kids won't leave it alone!

Picked this Climbing Dome up as a surprise for my two kids and couldn't be happier with the end result. The dome is incredibly sturdy - no concerns around multiple kids playing on it at the same time. Setup wasn't hard, but a little tedious, as the dome is shipped as a whole bunch of individual bars. The instruction manual made sense, but BE SURE TO READ THE WHOLE MANUAL before you begin - we got caught once or twice and had to back track, but overall, two of us got it built in a little over an hour. Lastly, you will want a 1/2" ratchet with an extender for the plastic caps that go on at the end. If I had one complaint, it's that every bar is individually wrapped in a plastic sleeve, which felt rather wasteful. Overall, this is a fantastic product. My kids (and a couple of neighbourhood dads) haven't left it alone since we built it three days ago!

Easy to Assemble

My husband, myself, and our teen put this together is under two hours. First, we read through the instructions so we got the overall idea, then once we got the pattern going, it was easy. Very sturdy and inviting. The bolts and nuts are high quality stainless steel.

Bought from Facebook swap

We were missing 2 climbing rocks from this dome we bought secondhand. I contacted customer service and they are sending me the 2 missing rocks for free. This is such amazing customer service. They were prompt in response to my email and to boot sending product for free. I am so grateful and I will be sure to look at other potential products!

Another great product from Lifetime! Their swing sets are the best. Kids love this climber. Super sturdy but you could move it around yard for mowing (with a couple adults) if you wanted to. A little trickier than the swim-sets to assemble but once you get a rhythm going it goes pretty quick.! Would highly recommend !!

Great climber for all ages

This was fairly simple to put together, holds up to 400lbs so all the kids can get on it, and seems extremely sturdy. It does take at least 2 people to put together (3 would make it even easier) and needs to be on a pretty level surface when assembling. It took us one afternoon to assemble the entire dome. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I wish that it didn't have the "rock" hand grips. It makes it difficult for a child to sit on the top once they get up there because the hand grip is right in the middle where they would sit. It isn't something that would prevent me from buying again, but they are still in the way and my kids have already asked if they can be removed (they can not be removed and MUST be put on-if they are not put on you will have long screws sticking out all over the climber). Over all it is a great climber at a great price, at least it was a great price when I bought it, and for the price I would buy it again.

Climb every mountain!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LIFETIME did it again! This dome climber is the best jungle gym I've ever seen. Kids can climb it like a mountain, hang on it, hang upside down from it, use it as a fort, and so many other things! Our kids are at the perfect ages to enjoy this now and to use it for many more years to come--they're 6 and 3. The 3-year-old can't really climb it on his own yet but loves hanging off of the nearest bars he could grab and jumping off. This is quite a big structure and the kids can stand straight up underneath it, making it a great fort to camp under. We love that it's very sturdy, a great structure that builds the kids' strength and agility, built to last, and the colors work great in our backyard! The kids had their friends over and they all had fun--including the parents! Two grown men built this in about 1.5 hours – it is helpful reading and carefully following the instructions (dads who think they know better). At one point when we were tightening the screws one broke off! But, thank you Lifetime for even thinking about that in advance as they gave extra nuts and bolts with the package. It does have a large footprint but that just means more kids (and adults) can be on at the same time. We trust the Lifetime brand to be solidly built and to last a lifetime, and we think this one definitely will.
