After several power outages, my wife and I decided to invest in a Generac whole home standby generator system. Our local installers did a great job in setting it up. Though we hope to never have to use this system (our weather patterns show we most likely will in the near future), just knowing that it is on automatic standby, brings great peace of mind to our family. I have had a long history with Generac emergency power systems from my 40 years as a General Supt of Power Operations in NYC Transit. Our crews started using portable trailer mounted units to supply critical power to train signal circuits and other necessary power needs in our substations. The reliability of these machines made a positive impact on Transit by reducing train delays and ensuring the people of NYC experienced as little delay as possible, in their commuting during local power outages. Knowing this, when I retired and moved to rural Hubertus Wisconsin, Generac was my first and only choice when I decided to have emergency power installed. Excellent experience with Specialized Power Service, Inc.. We shopped around for estimates for Generators. SPS provided a detailed estimate vs an invoice with one final estimate price with competitive pricing. It was nice to see how the entire cost of the estimate adds up. The communication was the best that I have had from any contractor. Nikki at the office will send out a detailed time line for install, including the pad or base for the generator, gas lines and then install of the generator itself. She also schedules the inspections and informs the home owner of the inspection schedule. I have never had anything run as smooth as this install. Scott the owner is very professional and informative and answered all our questions along the way. I wish all contractors were this easy to work with. We now have the peace of mind that in a power outage we have a full house generator. No more running around buying ice and putting everything in coolers or worse having to stay at a hotel during a several day outage. We took the leap and so happy we did.

After more than ten years' experience with our reliable 8 Kw Generac that met our basic electrical needs, we realized that it really didn't make a great deal of sense to have a backup generator that couldn't power our central air and our electric range as well. With that in mind we contacted our (outstanding) local Generac sales and service outlet to obtain a proposal on a unit that would meet our needs. Our sales rep, Ian advised us that our needs would best be met with Generac's 22 Kw Guardian with whole house transfer switch, which we had installed last Friday. The installation was done professionally and expeditiously and, almost as if on cue, we had a two-hour power outage overnight of the second day after installation. As the weather was quite warm, the central air came on during the outage, and while the a/c's initial startup load did cause a noticeable momentary increased load on the generator, it was well handled and we were glad we had followed Ian's recommendation for the larger unit. As we have been pleased with the performance of our previous Generac we are looking forward to having the added capacity as well as advanced features of our new Generac and being secure in the knowledge that future power outages will have minimal impact on our overall comfort and safety.

We got our Generac 7043, 22kW Generator in August, 2017. The installing company, Doug Williford & Son of Woodville, Texas was most efficient in the installation. The workers are very knowledgeable and polite to work with. They are prompt with servicing of the generator. Last year our electricity was out for 37 hours and I had 2 freezers full of frozen food. It was such a comfort to know that we had no worries. We are so pleased with our Generac and we love Doug Williford & Son Co. and their wonderful service people. I would recommend them to anyone needing a generator within their service area.

Very clean design. Powerful. Somewhat easy install due to great instructions. Runs quieter than my 8k portable. Smart switch simplified the install. Wifi was easy to set up following the instructions. Powerful twin cylinder engine looks easy to maintain. Looking forward to acomfortable life nest storm outage.

Our generator was installed a couple of weeks ago. I cannot praise the guys who sold and installed the unit highly enough! We're hit by a natural disaster (tornado, hurricane) and lose power from a few days to weeks about every 2 years. We're due; however, this time we are prepared! Now, when the weather turns ugly, we don't cringe and worry how long the power outage will last. The peace of mind is worth the cost. I highly recommend purchasing this unit. .

Backup power is very important for us due to health issues and provides us the safety and security to remain in our country home. We are on a well and can't live without heat or a/c throughout the year. Knapp's Electric(Generac contractor) and TrueComfort(Gas Line contractor) were very professional and completed a bang up job. The process was well explained and all our questioned expertly answered. We found the cost somewhat high although manageable for long term dependability. Worth it for us. We would highly recommend these contractors. The only negative is that the Dealer-Managed Plan should be included without cost. TKS

The installation was easy while the company rewired my house and installed the genrator in a weeks time. It took longer to get the city inspection because gas and electric both had to be inspected with electric twice. The company that installed it spent time making sure I knew how to operate every aspect of the generator. It is on the same side of the house and I can sleep right through the weekly check. I sleep less than 10 from the unit. It solved the fear of my family being without power due weather or power delivery issues while at work. During the test run it ran all the major appliances without a problem. I got the 10 year extended warranty for free.
