We purchased this washer approximately 2 months ago. I can’t believe how much I love it. The difference in the way this washer cleans and our previous washer is amazing. The cycles run quickly and the ability to be notified thru Wi-Fi when the cycle completes is so handy. The black steel color looks great. This is the first front load washer we have owned and being able to have the stackable unit in our small space is perfect! Would definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer to replace our 2011 WM3875HVCA. Several improvements were noted including the door seal design and the shorter cycle times. The ThinQ capability is a "nice to have", but hardly essential. Unfortunately, the designers mechanized the ThinQ connection so that you can only have letters in the network name (SSID). It's relatively common to have some special characters in SSID's (e.g., underscores and dashes) and this restriction can be very limiting in making a connection to a home network. The ThinQ "Download" function is interesting, but LG really missed an opportunity by not allowing the user to build a custom cycle and download that. Our 2011 model had a "Programmable" button that could be configured to whatever configuration the user desired. Not possible in this model, but hopefully something that can be added to the app. Another big miss is that the control panel settings are still not backlit. This makes the settings very hard to read in anything but bright room light. Using a segmented display, rather than a color LCD display, is also a minor miss. Segmented displays can make it hard to read certain characters. Overall, the WM400HBA is a worthy successor to the WM3875 and highly recommened.

Although it took about four weeks to get my machine, it was well worth the wait. It is extremely quiet, very gentle on my more delicate clothes, and has great features. I haven’t yet washed a comforter in it yet, but it looks like even a king comforter would fit with room to spare! The darker color I purchased is beautiful too. Although I have only been using my washer now for about a month, I am extremely pleased with it!

I purchased my LG Washer and Dryer 2022. I was very happy initially. However, after after reading the the information booklet I realized that there was upkeep. There is a hose at the bottom of the washer and a filter too. The hose has to be emptied of water and the filter cleaned out routinely. Also the soap dispenser should be left open to dry out any residual water. The care of the washer was never explained to my upon purchase of the washer and dryer. The hose to empty the water is at the front bottom of the washer and it is not very long so it is hard to empty. I have to get down on the floor to do this which is not easy for me. Even though you receive the manual it should have been explained at time of purchase. I do not know if I would have purchased the appliances had I known.

I bought this a before labor day (9/3) directly from LG. If you dont have time to wait, I dont recommend that route. The delivery date was stated 9/20. However, that is the delivery date to a third party that will deliver it to you house. Very misleading! I had to wait an additional 2 weeks (10/11) to receive my new appliances. I have now had this washer for a bit. I am very pleased. The washer itself is great. It has an abundance of features. Like Wi-fi it is neat that i can get a notification that my cloths are done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can only rate it as 4 star, simply as I am old school and really need a written copy of the owners manual. Even the electronic copy gives little info. I cannot get the machine to do anything other than what comes up on the dial. For example, I cannot figure out how to get the machine to know I want an extra rinse!

We have had other brands and this does a great job. We are very satisfied and look forward to many years of use with this. It is an added feature that we have this "smart" washer and dryer paired with our LG TV's and are alerted when the wash is completed, while we are watching a program!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Washer 2 months ago and I am so glad that we did. I don’t have to worry about noise or my clothes being half washed. We haven’t set up the WiFi yet, so that is our next step. I love everything about this Washer. And we got our daughter to invest in one as well.

Have used this new machine for about a month. Everything works perfect so far. Cleans very well and a lot faster than last washer, LG top loader. No out of balance alarms, shorter wash cycles, uses less water. Once leveled, it hardly makes any noise. Has easy clean features, with cleanable Filter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is quiet and efficient, and a HUGE improvement over our 10 year old Samsung.... not a surprise. I took away 1 star because the control pad is a bit clunky to use, otherwise this is a really nice machine with a large capacity.
