This is the second LG washer I’ve owned. I love all the choices for cycles and how clean it gets my clothes. It works great but the rubber gasket has a horrible smell that won’t go away. I’ve tried vinegar and water, downy rinse and refresh, baking soda and water You might want to smell gasket before you accept washer.

I was interested in the direct drive design as I thought it might be more reliable than the belt driven models. It washes fast but I wish the clothes weren't twisted together after the spin cycle. It's also louder than I thought it would be. Our bedroom is above the laundry room and I can hear it running.

We are very happy with this washer, especially the fact that it is almost a set it and forget it. No more waiting for the rinse cycle to add fabric softener. Great product. Thank you LG. We also bought the matching dryer in order to stack both.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I like: This machine cleans really well. It spins the clothes quite dry. FIVE STARS for this. What I don't like: (1) The User Interface on this machine is horrid. Turn it on and lights flash around the cycle dial.Distracting, useless 'feature'. The light stops on 'normal' cycle. But then you have to click it once to activate that cycle. And, you must SLOWLY turn it to switch between cycles. Push buttons would be better, faster and more functional for someone doing several loads of laundry. ONE STAR (or ZERO) (2) Downloadable wash cycles. ONE cycle. Only one. And you cannot change the installed cycle programs. Default water temp on Perm Press, Normal, other cycles seesm to be either Cold or Warm. Never tap cold. So I was going to log in and reconfigure the standard cycles to all start at Tap Cold. Not possible. ZERO STARS. This 'feature' is useless. (3) Delay option: I like this. Would like to be able to set for 15 minutes or 30 minutes. Not possible. Only sets at whole hours. Also, not programmable. TWO STARS. (4) No 'soak' cycle. Yes, I can do this by setting a wash cycle, then stopping the machine for a while before rinse. Having 'soak' cycle would not require manual intervention. Also, 'soak' is not a downloadable option. ZERO STARS. (5) The panel on the right for selecting options is hard to read - get rid of the flashing lights on cycle selection knob and backlight the option selection panel. ONE STAR.

I replaced my 18 year old Kenmore with this and I am super happy! The Kenmore took forever to wash, this unit has cut my wash time in half. Its quiet and so far has been doing a good job washing. I also like the cycle selection and wash temps. I am only have one problem...connecting the wifi feature.

I did extensive research before purchasing and went with this model because of the great reviews. That was a mistake. I have had the washer for less than a month. The clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle. I have to run a separate spin cycle after every load and they are still too wet to put in the dryer. Often times there is standing water in the bottom of of tub. The unit was professionally installed less than a month ago so I do not believe it is an issue with the drain hose. I have followed all of the trouble shooting steps and the issue persists. I do like the app and some of the features, but I regret not sticking with the brand I used to own.

I've only done a few loads, but it seems to be working fine. The door is large, so it is a litfle hard to reach around it to load and unload. (It's against a wall and facing the dryer.) It is quiet and spins the clothing really dry. I prefer analog controls to the computerized, but I no longer have a choice in the matter. The many wash cycle options seem unnecessary when you could just have selection buttons to choose temp, time, spin speed, etc.

Love the size and look and function of this machine. It requires extra effort to keep the door and its seal dry and prevent a musty odor in the drum. We are currently drying the door’s window and seal with a towel and leaving the door wide open overnight each time we wash. We weren’t expecting this inconvenience. Really like the way it pairs with the dryer to automatically select a dry setting.

the product is good but the installation service need to be improved. The dryer and washer were installed in opposite positions, very inconvenient! called the delivery/ installation team several times, was told they will schedule a service but never show up. frustrated for months.
