I bought this cheese and opened it roughly a week after purchasing it, only to discover numerous mold spots on the cheese. I ended up tossing the whole thing in the garbage. This is the first time I have ever had a block of sliced cheese become moldy so soon after purchase.

I have purchased this cheese a few times. The first time it lasted well in the fridge. The second time it did not. Over half molded in the package and I threw it out. Read in the description that it would freeze well. I thought I’d try again and freeze half. No. It DOES NOT freeze well. I pulled it out to thaw in fridge. A crumbling mess. Using it for grilled sandwiches that will melt it. The cheese is very good. Just make sure you’ll use up this large pack quickly.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago to try as they did not have the normal Pepper Jack Cheese I get or the backup I sometimes buy. I thought I would go ahead and try this pepper jack as even a cheap pepper jack from other stores still have a likable enough flavor. This one did not. it just tasted like a congealed, solid yet gluey, gloop of sorts. It DID NOT have a pepper jack cheese flavor by any means. It did not even have a taste of cheese. It is like gluey paste, really cheap cheese substitue, melded together, and someone threw in some pieces of paper to look like pepper jack. I am in no way happy with this and I am not even sure what I can use the rest of this mess with. I will not ever purchase this product again.

I consistently buy Sam's Club bulk cheese packs and blocks but recently in 2023, the natural cheeses have a musty taste but no mold. I don't know if there are inconsistencies in their storage temperatures or if these products are exposed to other perishable products that are exposed to moisture that turn musty and the smell permeates the cheese packaging. I will longer buy natural cheese at Sam's Club because this has happened frequently as of late and I don't like throwing my money in the trash.

I buy this cheese all the time but the last two purchases, the cheese has an odd musty smell and it crumbles very easily. Normally the slice comes off very easily but all the slices have crumbled in half. Not sure if the temperatures that they store them in are off but I will be re-thinking my purchases of this cheese in the future.

We are typically big fans of this cheese, however, this time, it was moldy upon opening. When I called the store, they said I would have to bring it in to verify the mold. Not worth the gas or fighting holiday traffic, but disappointed.
