When I first moved into this house in central Florida (2011) I used Bonus S and it worked great. Last year (2016) in September I applied to my lawn to kill dollarweed which had started to appear. It didn't kill anything. I now have twice as much dollarweed. I noticed in your guarantee statement for Bonus S it says "Simply send us evidence of purchase and we will mail you a refund check promptly. For more details, click here." The "click here" doesn't work. What does this tell you? Your instructions say to water in immediately after application which to me means my normal watering, but your replies to some reviews say to lightly water in. Shouldn't your instructions say this? This product use to work great. I wish I knew what you changed.

We have been using Scotts products the past 3 years and our St. Augustine grass looks great. We use the Bonus S in the Spring and then follow up with the Turf Builder in Summer. We get asked all the time how we get our grass to look so good! Another thing is to not cut St. Augustine grass below 3 inches, 4 is even better.

I rarely take the time to write a review but when something works this good I'm compelled to do so. It was like I waved a magic wand and had some kind of spell to say all weeds die now! I've tried many other products and methods of application that maybe didn't help at all or only slightly impacted a few varieties of weeds. This killed everything with no stress to the Palmetto St. Augustine or Centipede grass. These weeds were very well established and to the point that I was wondering if I could ever recover my lawn. I can only imagine how well the product will work in Spring as a pre-emergence control. The product has definitely been improved over years ago. Expensive but well worth it.

I have used Scott's products for about 6yrs and until now and it had performed very well. My home is near Charleston, SC. I applied Bonus S per directions and used a Scott’s edge guard spreader to my centipede lawn put down by the builder. I had watered it and it even rained. Well after a couple of weeks my lawn was wiped out!! I used to have the greenest lawn but now I have dirt and burnt yellow areas. So after figuring out by a friend, all this started last year! The very same issue happened last year! I had no clue what had happened!! I received a few complaint letters from my HOA and I told them if you can figure out what’s going on I’ll fix it!! Well I quickly squashed that issue by other means but I was sick to my stomach about my lawn because my Dad lived by Scott’s products so I did too! So when I applied the Bonus S last year I had some left over for this year. Well I used it again this year unknowingly that my lawn would die again!!! So I’m know waiting to get letters my HOA and I’ll be contacting Scott’s to see what they, if anything, will do.

i think that using this product consistently (4 applications) did prevent weeds this spring - there were nowhere near the number of weeds we had in previous years. however, the application instructions are very confusing. Scotts should address this! the bag seems to indicate that 4x per year is optimal, yet the website product info says no more than 2x per year. the poor souls who had no luck with this product were advised to apply when daytime temps are consistently 60-85 degrees and to apply to dry lawns. but the bag indicates dry OR wet lawn. it says apply in early spring (pre-emergent!) and temps are NOT 60-85 in February. and now, in rereading the website and bag, i see that i shouldn't have used this product on my lawn because it is a mix of st. augustine and bermuda. Buyers and Users - read instructions carefully! but, Scotts, please rethink/rewrite your instructions!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Six weeks ago I spread Scotts Turf Builder Southern Weed & Feed on my lawn. The result is very good. The grass recovered nicely after the winter rest benefiting from the feed component in the granules. There were many weeds in my lawn and the majority has vanished as a result of the included weed killer. There are a few persistent kinds of weeds remaining, which I hope will perish after a second treatment with the product.

I have a healthy 2 year old yard that was starting to have a few weeds so after doing the research I purchased this product. I followed the schedule and directions exactly and had ZERO results on the weeds, actually they started growing and spreading faster. I had to hire a professional company to apply multiple rounds of treatment to save the lawn, very expensive mistake. If you live in SW Florida let the licensed professionals handle your lawn care and avoid the problems I had.

Now, our Spring, TX grass is so green and healthy looking. Little by little the weeds are turning yellow and dying. We love Scotts Turf builder and use many other Scotts products.
