Gate is easy to install but the PLASTIC pieces used to tighten the gate don't hold the pressure well. You have the option to use screws to hold it in place but that defeats the purpose of the pressure gate. LOVED the height! The handle to open the gate however does require both hands which can be very dangerous when you are trying to get through from the bottom of the stairs and the gates at the top. Holding a baby or laundry basket poses a huge fall risk! And lastly I hope you're anorexic if you wish to walk through this gate without having to turn sideways! Poor design all around!

I laid the pieces out to see how they would fit together. I attached the screws as noted in the instructions, then placed the gate in the opening of the frame. This is when I noticed that it looked skewed. I measured the frame at the bottom and top and found a 1" difference, so this unit isn't close to being square. I just installed the gate. It's very easy to install. I needed a gate to keep my dogs out of part of the house while I'm at work. 3 stars because it does what I needed it to do. Only three stars because of the following. Door only opens one way. Door won't spring shut. To open the gate you must move a spring loaded locking clip then lift a latch. This procedure requires two hands. Same procedure to close. The rollers that supply the tension to hold the gate up are a very cheap plastic. They keep the gate snug, but start to strip if you try to get them really tight. A determined dog or toddler could push the gate down unless you drill holes and use screws to anchor them in place. For $30 to $50 dollars more there are gates out with metal rollers and more convenient features. Works for me but wouldn't recommend.

Extremely tall did have to use the screws and screw it into the door. Using just the pressure knobs did not work it could easily be pushed down. But I love how secure the latch is and how tall it is. My little one can't figure out how to open and cannot climb it.

product was easy to assemble, good quality for price. also easy to install. description of product was accurate. if your looking for a gate to not have to bend over and remove every time this gate is for you the pass through gate is great. we bought to keep pets out of a room

It is a good gate for what you pay. Its a great height but the handle is a little chintzy. The the red locking button is a little monotonous and the size of the actual gate is quite narrow. Each side has about 6 inches of bar that could have been used as the gate to give it a wider walk through. Overall not a bad gate. Easy to set up and gets the job done.

Toddler, 2 years and 8 months, unlatched it within 2 minutes, while I was in another room. Luckily I glanced over to “make sure” all was fine and saw toddler before they reached a danger point, ran to them just in time. Exchanging for a gate with a double lock mechanism.

This gate was a replacement for an old Evenflo position and lock wood safety gate. The dogs liked to chew on it too much and the little dogs could jump over it. This walk through gate removes both of those issues from the equation. They cannot jump over it and since it is metal, they do not chew it. The walk through handle can be locked down or left unlocked but it still holds the gate closed so you can get through with a laundry basket or what ever you may have in your hands. The opening is a bit narrow so you will have to lift some things over it to get wider objects through but that is not a big deal when you are not having to step over the gate which is what we were having to do with the old one. This gate works great for kids and pets and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice gate.

We had previously purchased one of the wooden baby gates, but the dog just used the cross braces to hoist himself over it! This one is taller and the dogs are now unable to go over it and the sturdy construction of this gate provides me with peace of mind while I am at work!!! Happy wife...happy life!!!

Easy set up and strong hold. I bought it to stop my bunny from entering my room. She is still able to get through the second bars on the bottom so I wrapped bendable wires across the gap. I gave five stars bc it is perfect for what it was designed to do and the height is great so she isn't able to jump over.
