It's a very comfortable bed. It took some adjusting. I would wake with sore shoulders but I was warned about the break in period. I now don't wake to sore shoulders. We do have an adjustable base. I get hot sleeping and this bed isn't a cool temperature bed. The dense foam holds heat. We have an upgraded mattress pad that's suppose to help but I still run hot. Keep in mind I live in MN and it was winter when I bought it. My wife even said she gets warm. I think I'm going to buy the mattress protector the sales man said people complained about being too cold. Great mattress but holds heat.

First impression upon lying down was that it was too firm, but almost immediately we realized it was extremely comfortable. We've owned this now for 3 weeks and we have never slept better. No more backaches or shoulder aches and it is easy to get out of bed in the morning. Couldn't be happier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the product and customer service from ordering at the tempurpedic store, delivery to the unfortunate return were commendable. The proadapt medium hybrid split king did support my hips and back which I have issues with however i found my neck getting more sore (which I also have issues with, the mattress didn't cause but irritated). Purchased the tempurpedic neck pillow in hopes of fixing the issue with no luck. I have spoke to many friends who love the product it just didn't work for me. I was tempted to try another style but was worried it may result in the same neck issue.

The Firm mattress has stopped my husband's snoring and molds to our bodies, while not irritating our sore spots, like shoulder areas. The only thing that was frustrating was registering for the warranty because with the mattress already being installed, the label with the serial number is on the bottom of the mattress and we're not able to lift the mattress to get to the label so not sure how to track down the serial number otherwise. Otherwise, the bed with the new low profile Tempur-Pedic split king box spring feel amazing and we are sleeping so much better than we have in years.

We just replaced a tempur pedic mattress that lasted 15 years with the pro adapt firm. The first night on our new mattress was the best sleep we've had in years! While our old mattress was fine and probably could have been used even longer, the new mattress is exactly what we were looking for. Firm without being rigid and supportive for our aging joints-a quality investment. While it's a bit higher and we've had to adjust to same, it's the only drawback.

I've had this new proadapt firm mattress for 3 weeks now. The first thing I noticed is that I fall asleep so fast. When I wake up, my back feels wonderful. I've been suffering with extreme back pain for years and this mattress has been great with helping reduce it. AAA+++

Ok people, I'm 22 years old. I've slept in three beds in my entire life. Obviously started out in a crib, moved to a twin and slept on that same mattress until about 19. Moved in with my fiance and sleeping in a king mattress until May 11th 2020 when our Split King Pro-Adapt mattresses finally arrived! We both got to the point where we were having a lot of problems in our old mattress. He has sciatic nerve issues occasionally and is always tossing and turning. I am a very light sleeper and was barely sleeping the last 3 weeks before our new mattress was delivered. The nerves in my lower legs also seem to go crazy when I am laying down so any type of movement from my fiance makes it that much more stressful especially when he thinks he has to launch hmself in and out of bed in the middle of the night lol. It was miserable! We decided to get a firm split king because of our different needs though we both wanted a firm mattress and I had read previous reviews where some people no longer felt their partner move around so that really made me want a split king. We decided to pair it with the Ergo adjustable base (Separate review.. life changing) and it took over a month to get everything delivered but finally low and behold we are sleeping better! Love me a firm mattress! Our old one just felt too soft and I couldn't seem to find a position where my body truley felt relaxed. I barely feel him moving around and the nerves in my legs have calmed down so much I would assume due to now I sleep wih the bottom end of the mattress lifted (Thanks Ergo base)! I have been sleeping better though still having some issues on night where I just can't sleep. I am getting ready to buy some new pillows from here that I think will work with the mattress and base and completely fix all of my problems! If you get a firm, once you set it up, it will feel really hard but don't be alarmed! That will change when it warms up to the temp of the room. When we set it up and sat on it, we looked at each other like uhhhhhhh this is like laying on cement and we were hoping we didn't just make a giant mistake lol but nope it was perfect once it warmed up! Only thing that kind of sucks is that I read you shouldn't use heated blankets on the mattress. I have been using a heated blanket the passed 2 years since my feet can't ever get warm. They are always freezing cold at night and would cramp up in the middle of the night so I'm having a lot more cramping now but it's a small price to pay. I think I just need a better comforter. Overall, I love this mattress and am trying to convince my parents they should get one too! Was well worth the money! You spend a big portion of your life in bed. Might as well be comfy! All of my future bed products will now be purchased through Tempur-Pedic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy when my mattress was finally delivered. The delivery was delayed because of COVID-19. The morning that it was delivered, I woke with back pain. That afternoon, I laid down and slept for 3 hours. I never sleep in the evening. My back feels so much better. The spinal support is amazing. I also get hot at night, and this is so much better.

This is my second Tempur-Pedic. The mattress delivered is completely unlike the version I tested in a Tempur-Pedic showroom. It is as hard as a rock. My backache this morning is painful. My online sales receipt says "ProAdapt" but does not specify ProAdapt or ProAdapt 1.0 or Pro Adapt 2.0. Yes, I was confused when the warranty drop down gave those 3 choices. The tag on my mattress says 2.0. How was I to know there is more than one version? I am told by customer service I probably tried an older version. 2.0 is currently being shipped. Nothing can be done until the 30 night trial is over. So, I am supposed to be sleep deprived for 30 nights, on this brick that was delivered to my house? I am not interested in letting the mattress confirm to my body or breaking it in. Thank you, Tempur-Pedic for the worst night's' I can remember. Fortunately, I kept my old mattress to give to a women's shelter. Unfortunately, they will not be getting it because the old mattress from 2006 is by far better than this misrepresentation.
